Written by Amy Holly and Patrick were a good couple, I can�t deny that, but I don�t think it was the kind of relationship to have lasted. Most things have been said but ah well! Patrick did love Holly but not in the same way as he loved Lara, with Holly it was the best friend relationship, more like brotherly sisterly kind of way about it. Where as with Lara, he saw her and fell in love, then as he got to know her, he was captivated and mesmerized even more as he watched her develop as the days went by, just like some of us were. With me, I can see past the passion in Lara and Patrick�s relationship, ok so theres was a sexual side but so what? What does that matter to a relationship? The more you see and the closer you watch them you can see an unmistakable bond developing between the two. So their relationship is �fun� and �exciting� it doesn�t mean they care any less about each other,every relationship needs that �spark'. Just because Patrick was once in love with Holly doesn�t mean that he loved Lara any less. When Holly left, Patrick could of gone after her, he could have tried to find her, but he didn�t, Holly didn�t have to go, but she did. Now that tells me something about their relationship. When Holly left, yes Patrick was devastated and yes Rachel could have been a rebound, but he really did find love with Lara. With 'Past, Present, Future, that�s a prime example of how he feels. While in the minibus we here �My girlfriend has scars, battle scars and she�s proud of them and do you know why? Because those scars tell stories, and those stories say she�s a hero, and hero�s are attractive� automatically then we see just how much respect and admiration Patrick does in fact have for Lara, we see again that it�s not just a lot of fun they�re having but he is also in love with this woman. Then later when they�re in the restaurant, we find out he�s giving up the consultancy, the job he has been striving for, been working towards, just for Lara. He is so desperate to stay with her, he would give up the job he would love the most. So some people say he was �dazed� and �confused� to me, they are just excuses. Ok he was in a RTA but what does that matter? We all know Patrick, he was far to proud, far to stubborn and arrogant to let other people have their own way, if he wasn�t 100% sure that he loved her, he wouldn�t of gone for it, his male pride would of gotten in the way. There isn�t just one woman for every man, it�s possible to have loved and lost and then love again, which was Patrick�s case, he�d fallen in love, one last time�.
