| Clutter has been a recurring theme in our discussion group which deserves special attention. There is a lot of information available in books and on the internet. USA today also published an interesting article on the increasing problem of clutter in the United States. Important Date! Saturday, October 13 is Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day in Edmond from 8:00 am - noon at Mitch Park. They are collecting electronic waste for recycling in addition to other hazardous waste. Edmond Thrift Stores Edmond Consignment Shops Do you have lots of paper with sensitive information such as old bills or bank statements? Not sure if you can dispose of them? For suggestions on how long to keep your financial records click here. For document destruction you might want to consider using the services at The Meadows instead of trying to shred everything yourself which can be very time-consuming as well as frustrating if your shredder jams or breaks. The Meadows is a non-profit organization that employs individuals with disabilities. They charge a minimum of $10 for up to 71 pounds of paper. Each additional pound is 14 cents/pound.
