MORE INFORMATION

The information in this article was taken from a number of sources including the Mclaren Cars website and the 1997-1999 FIA and British GT programmes from Silverstone circuit.

However, by far the finest source of information about the F1 and its racing variants is the Doug Nye book "Driving Ambition" (published by Virgin Books in the UK). This book is full of fantastic pictures and masses of inside information and is highly recommended.

If they have any left, you can even buy a special limited edition boxed copy from McLaren which entitles you to a visit to the factory!
