This spectacular looking car was prepared by Zakspeed for Harald Ertl. Although it has the outward appearance of a Europa, it is based around a TOJ sports car chassis and was powered by the same engine as the Capri Turbo against which it was intended to compete in Division 2 of the DRM in 1979. There were only 2 race starts, firstly the Nurburgring 1000 Kms international sports car event in June 1979. The car is listed as a DNF being driven by Ertl, Hans Heyer & Harald Grohs. Later on in September it was entered into round 11 of the DRM at the Nurburgring. The car was driven by Mario Ketterer and qualified in 6th place. Alas, it broke down again on lap 23 and the car was never raced again.
