| Chapter 23 ******* Margot jumped when she heard a knock at her door. After she told JC everything, she closed the door behind him and ran to her bed, expecting her face to be covered with tears within seconds. To her surprise, not a single tear fell. She rolled over and while facing the ceiling, she smiled to herself. For the first time in years, the emptiness she felt in her heart was gone, and in its place was something new. Something different. Something she hadnt felt in such a long time. Adoration. For Josh. Despite her protests, he forced her to tell him her deepest, darkest secret. He now knew everything about her, and in turn, she felt again. Margot walked to her door, not really caring who was there. Her tender expression stayed on her face as she opened the door widely. Her eyes widened a little in shock over who was standing in front of her, but her mood didnt change. Not even Justin could bring her down from this high. Yessssss? she asked dreamily, still elated from what she was feeling inside of her. Margot. Justin responded throatily. Suddenly, she snapped back into reality and studied his face. His eyes were red and it looked as if a tear or two had spilled over. He was breathing raggedly and his body was slumped against the wall as if he couldnt even keep himself standing up. Even though, hed made it very clear earlier on that he didnt give a damn about her, she couldnt help but to let concern for him enter her heart. Justin, whats wrong? she asked as she grabbed his hands and pulled him inside of her room. She kicked the door closed and looked deeply into his blue eyes as they sat down on her bed. Justin sniffled and stared back at her. Right before he threw her sandwich away, hed already noticed how beautiful her eyes were. But now that she was looking at him with care instead of contempt, she looked even more stunning. He felt himself go numb and he allowed himself to fall onto her. Margot wrapped her arms around him as comfortingly as she could. Obviously something very important was bothering him, so she took it upon herself to try and make him feel somewhat better. Justin felt her run her fingers through his hair and let himself go. As the tears streamed unrestricted down his cheeks, he wrapped his own arms as tightly as he could around her small waist. He buried his face in her shoulder and inhaled. Peaches. His long frame was suddenly racked with a fresh wave of tears and his body shook uncontrollably. Oh, God Margot. Im so sorry. He mumbled into her shirt. Margot frowned slightly and tightened her arms around him. He followed suit when she shushed him and whispered into his ear. Its alright Justin. Its alright to cry. I forgive you. |
