Window on American Information Center

The Window on America Centers were created to provide up-to-date information on the United States and to augment the English-language collections of host libraries. The mission of the Window on America Center is to promote mutual understanding between the United States and Ukraine.

The Centers accomplishes this by:

• Providing information about U. S. history, government, society, and values to Ukrainian audiences
• Providing access to Internet resources;
• Serving as focal points for U. S. assistance and exchange programs.

Goals of the center are:

• Provide access to American Information resources;
• Provide access to new technologies through access to an electronic catalogue, the Internet, and work with compact discs, digital video discs, etc.
• Provide high quality service to users accessing these technologies
• Provide and distribute information contained in the resource center
• Carry out meetings, conferences and discussions in order to promote understanding about America.

- Information concerning the political and public life and the government of the USA
- Encyclopedias, reference books, and dictionaries
- Information concerning education and educational establishments in the USA, as well as materials for preparation for taking international tests, TOEFL, GMAT, etc.
