MAMA LIZZ'S STUFFED PEPPERS
FOR 4 PEPPERS..USE
1 HALF CUP OF WHITE RICE,
1 1/2 PDS OF CHOP MEAT.
4 PEPPERS...2 RED AND 2 GREEN..OR WHATVER COLORED PEPPERS YOU LIKE.
CUT THE TOP OFF THE PEPPERS, CLEAN
OUT THE INSIDE..
THEN IN A BOWL MIX , RICE, CHOPMEAT
AND A HALF OF CUP OF OIL...THROW IN
SOME GRATED CHEESE IF DESIRED..
MIX UP BY HAND...THEN STUFF THE
PEPPERS, LOSELY...DONT PACK IT IN
CUZ THE MEAT WILL BE TOO HARD..
THEN IN A POT...FRY SOME GARLIC AND
ONIONS..POUR 1 CAN OF TOMATO SAUCE
ON THE BOTTOM OF THE POT..THEN
PLACE THE STUFFED PEPPERS SITTING
UP IN POT...THROW 3 MORE SMALL CANS
OF TOMATO SAUCE ON TOP AND ALL
AROUND....COVER TIGHTLY, AND COOK
FOR 45 MINUTES..UNTIL RICE IS DONE.
CHECK WITH A FORK....
THEN MAKE GARLIC BREAD..
USING OLIVE OIL, BUTTER, A LOT OF
GARLIC POWDER, GRATED CHEESE,
PARSELY, AND PAPRIKA AND SPRINKLE
ON TOP...USE SALT AND PEPPER IF
DESIRED...BAKE A FEW MINUTES TILL
GOLDEN BROWN...
AND VOILA!....YA GOT MAMAS FAVORITE
ITALIAN MEAL..AND ITS ALL IN ONE POT.

Chicken Wings Vegas Style
4 pounds of chicken wings, washed, cut at joints
1 stick of butter/margarine
2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
Oil to deep-fry
Heat frying oil to medium high. In a saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add vinegar and whisk cayenne pepper into the melted butter. Dredge wings in flour and deep fry until brown and crisp, 10 to 15 minutes. Drain on a paper towel. Put wings in the saucepan, tossing them until evenly coated. Put in paper lined basket and serve with Ranch dressing and carrot and celery sticks. Pig out! Butter should run down your elbows, so keep napkins and towelettes handy!
Art C's Easy Hors D'oeuvres
Bacon wrapped Water Chestnuts
1 can water chestnuts
Strips of bacon - enough to wrap each chestnut
Soy sauce
Toothpicks
Fry bacon in a skillet to the point where they are still flexible and are almost to the 'crispy' stage.
Wrap each slice around a water chestnut and skewer with a toothpick to hold in place.
Arrange the wrapped chestnuts as a single layer in a low-rimmed casserole dish and pour soy sauce in to immerse them about half-way.
Place casserole dish in a pre-heated 350-375� oven for about 10-15 minutes.
Remove chestnuts from soy sauce and serve hot/warm.
Art C's Kids Mexican Pizza

For the kids~ No-Work Mexican Pizzas
Small wheat flour tortillas
Salsa (mild, medium or hot, to taste)
Shredded Jack cheese
Sliced black olives
Sliced pre-cooked or bottled jalape�os
In oven at high temperature (400-475�) place a cookie tray.
While this is preheating, take a torilla, smear salsa on, top with shredded cheese (and olives/jalape�os, if desired)
Place on cookie tray. Cook for about 10 minutes.
 Hot Fudge Sauce
(mine)
2 tbs. butter (or margarine)
2 squares baking chocolate
2/3 c sugar
5oz can evaporated milk
1 tsp vanilla
Melt the chocolate and butter over low heat. Add the sugar and stir well. Slowly add the milk, stirring constantly. Heat over low heat while stirring occasionally until thickened. Add the vanilla, pour over ice cream and enjoy.
 Great Blue Cheese Dressing
3/4 c. sour cream
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. pepper
pinch of salt
pinch of garlic powder
1 tsp. worcestershire sauce
Blend 2 minutes in food processor at LOW speed Add: 1 1/2 c. mayonaise
Blend 2 minutes in food processor. Crumble 4 oz. blue cheese into small pieces... then add. Blend for 4 minutes ...no more! (Supposedly it "must sit 24 hrs before using" but just chill it for a while.)

For the bird lovers out there...:)
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 1/2 cup pecans
2 cups chopped bananas
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
4 cups confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a large cookie sheet with sides, or an 11 x 17 inch jelly roll pan. Combine flour, white sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Add eggs and oil; stir until moistened. Do not beat. Stir in bananas, teaspoons vanilla, pineapple, and 1 cup pecans. � Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until done. Cool on a wire rack. � Beat 1/2 cup pecans, cream cheese, butter or margarine, confectioners sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla together until light and fluffy. Spread over the top of the cooled cake. Makes 1 - 11 x 17 inch sheet cake

From: Irish-Nana I make a nacho dip of avocados, tomatoes, onions, taco seasoning, sour cream, black olives, bean dip, and cheddar cheese.
Spread a 9x13 pan with bean dip.
Spread a mashed avocado or two on top.
Sprinkle the taco seasoning on top of that.
Spread sour cream evenly over the entire top.
Chop fresh tomatoes and layer them all over.
Chop up the onion and do the same.
Slice the black olives and sprinkle them over it.
Sprinkle cheese over the entire surface.
Microwave on high for 2 minutes (900 watts)
Then you can use Nacho chips, veggies etc. to dip. Yummy!

Here`s a very simple easy to make bread recipe from my "Vittles" page....:-)
Beer Bread
3 cups self rising flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 can of beer
Mix above ingredients together and place in a greased loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour at 375� F. Cool on wire rack for 30 minutes before slicing. Mmmm....good

April's German Cheese Cake
Filling:
3 pkg cream cheese
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 pkg vanilla sauce powder *
1 large egg
11/4 cup sugar
Leave cream cheese and butter out over night.
Dough:
3 cups flour
1/3 cups sugar
1 pkg vanilla sugar *
1 pkg baking powder *
2 sticks unsalted butter
5 tbsp milk
1 large egg (use only 1/2 of yolk)
Mix together untill consistency of cookie dough. Divide into 2/3 for bottom and sides and 1/3 for top. Roll out 2/3 portion to fit bottomand sides of 13/ 9/ 2 ungreased pan. spread evenly with cheese filling. Add 1 can of cherry pie filling on top of cheese filling.
Roll out top and fit over, pushing the sides down. Brush with topping made from 1/2 egg yolk and 1 tbsp. milk. Prick top with fork.
Bake on low rack at 375* F for 25 minutes. Raise to 400* F for 10 minutes to brown top.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT REFRIGERATE!!! Can be left out on counter 3 days |
