The Final Step

Well the oven is complete, stucco and all. I have had several successful firing in it and today Sunday July 17th,2005 I have baked 8 loaves of Italian bread. I have to get my system refined so I can use the heat more efficiently but that will come with time and experience. This is a labor of love because there is no way you could do anything that takes this long for the kind of money to be made from selling bread alone. The satisfaction that you get when those loaves come out is unbelievable.

The oven itself works very well, the heat stays hot enough to bake for several hours, and even after that I have enough residual heat left over to bake pies and other foods. The last time after baking the bread I made a whole chicken with all the accompaniments, for our dinner. This is really fun, I thought I was doing well with my kitchen oven but this is way beyond that.
