Pack Ranks
Alphas
- "Parents of the Pack", the Alphas are the Main Leaders of the Pack. They ensure the Pack is staying in local order, safe, and to keep the on-goings about. They make the Final Decisions in everything in the Pack, carefully to make sure it is for the good of the Pack.
Betas
- The Betas are the secondary commands, when the Alphas are not present. They take up the same respect, whenever the Alphas are not around, however are known to be greatly wise wolves. One day, the Beta Pair will rise to take up the Alphas in their Place, or retire to Eldership. Whenever there is trouble within the clearing, they are there to make sure it is taken care of, if Alphas are not present, however... if there is a strong discussion/problem that only needs the Alphas' decision upon, it'll be taken to them upon discussion. Betas cannot make the final decision.
Elders
- Elders can consist of many wolves, who are over the age of 6 years, and have been within the Pack for a long time to have this Rank. They are normally retired Alphas and Betas, but can be older Packmates, yet they cannot be Elder unless they have been with the Pack for a long time. Elders teach the young, tell stories, and advise the Alphas if they are having trouble. Sometimes the best advice, is from the Elders themselves, so they shall be treated with great respect.
Sentinels
- Sentinels are the Law Enforcers. They are to greet any visitor coming within the clearing, as well as chasing out any trouble makers that decide to break the Laws. Sentinels are normally strong, bold wolves, who will take risks for their Pack. If any confrontations is made, some of the problem might have to be taken to the Leaders upon discussion, if the problem is too large, that they need the Leaders to fix it. They are also in charge (IC and OOC) to take care of the newer wolves whom visit the clearing, to make sure they know of the Rules, the Pack Ways, and get familiar with the Pack itself.
Scouts
- Scouts are the Pack's lookouts. They scout the parameters for any signs of danger, and come back to the Pack upon reports. If there is any danger lurking about, the Pack HAS to know about it, before the danger hits. They need to be prepared. Scouts are as well, member seekers. They will look for possible members (preferably lone wolves) for the Pack, hoping to make the right decisions on such.
Packmembers
- The body and soul of the Pack. No Pack is a Pack, without their Subordinates. They are unranked wolves, who normally do half of the Rank's jobs when they are not present. They will enforce rules if Sentinel is not around, they will teach the newcomers if Sentinels are not around, they will Scout about if their Scouts are not present, and tell stories (but not make Lore Nights) if their LoreKeeper isn't around. However, they are the body of the Pack, yet will eventually have their chance at a Rank.
Pack Pups
- Cute, frisky, hyperactive little pups. They are the life of any Pack, and are normally either adopted or brought into Pack by birth. All Pups are known as Pack pup, until they reach the age of 1 year, then they are known as Packmembers.
Omegas
- Lowest of the Ranks, the Omegas are known as 'pupsitters' and take care of the injured wolves. They do what a Caretaker would do, however they are not Caretakers, they are Wolves who shamed their Pack, and became Omegas to prove themselves once again.
Assessments
- Assessments are the Wolves wanting to join the Pack, however need to show their loyalty, trust, dedication, and anything else the DawnRunners look for in a member. They have to prove themselves worthy to become a member, even if it takes forever. The Assessment doesn't have a time period, as they come into Pack when the Pack and Council feel they are ready.
Honored Guest
- Not a rank, but those who are close to the Pack, friend or not, whom the Pack recognizes as their Family Friend. They can consist of Wolves from other Packs, or Wolves whom are lone, and just don't wish to join a Pack. This title is honorable, and only few Wolves will deserve it.
