02. To Catch a Queen – Argus, Queen Aleena’s captain
of the guard, is captured and roboticized. Sonic, Manic, and Sonia
learn of what has happened and discovers that Argus will be presented at
an induction ceremony. The siblings disguise themselves as sound ‘bots
and find Argus at the ceremony. They use their medallions to restore
the memory of Argus. As Argus begins to reveal the location of Queen
Aleena, he loses control of his mind so that the hedgehogs have to escape.
Sleet and Dingo are later able to use Argus to discover the location of
the queen. Later, Sonic, Manic, and Sonia look for information on the
queen’s whereabouts while singing “Have
You Got the 411?” A creature promises to reveal information
in exchange for a date with Sonia. Sonia accepts. Only later
is it discovered that the creature is Dingo and the whole thing was a setup.
Sonic, Manic, and Sonia run away and again seek Argus for information.
The siblings are successful and this time Argus is able to reveal the rendezvous
point. At the underground rendezvous point, Dingo morphs into Argus
and chases Queen Aleena. Sonic creates an avalanche to stop him
and the real Argus helps Sonia and Manic escape.
03. Mobodoon – Sonic, Sonia, and Manic search for Mobodoon,
which, according to legend, is only visible at certain times. The three
stumble upon the city while being chased by Sleet and Dingo. The mayor
greets Manic while Sonia and Sonic search the city. The mayor escorts
Manic to the place where he was born. Manic soon shows the room to
Sonic and Sonia and announces that he will stay in Mobodoon. He decides
that they should all introduce themselves to the townspeople and sings “I
Found My Home.” Once Manic’s song is complete, Sleet begins his
attack and demands everyone pay their back-taxes. Sleet’s companions
take everything that is of value, including a power stone that connects
Mobodoon with the rest of the world. The triplets are able to locate
the power stone and use it to charge their medallions. With their medallions
charged, they take the convoy back to Mobodoon and return the stone to its
rightful place. Sonic and Sonia leave Mobodoon and Manic decides at
the last minute to leave the city. Manic knows that his home is with
his brother and sister.
04. The
Price of Freedom – As the hedgehogs run from Sleet and Dingo, Sonia becomes
extremely dirty. Once they are safe, Sonia becomes annoyed with Sonic
and Manic and heads off to East Mobius to visit her friend Mindy. Sonic
later receives a tip that their mother is also in East Mobius, so Sonic and
Manic decide to travel. Sonia spends the night at Mindy’s house and
has a nightmare. When she awakens, she finds that the watch Mindy gave
her during the day is taking pictures of her little black book. Sonia
contacts Sonic and when she leaves to meet him she finds out that he has
been captured. After Sonia frees her brother, Mindy discovers that her
father makes watches that spy on people. Mindy’s father insists that
he did it for her, so Mindy sings “Money
Can’t Buy.” She wants to be a freedom fighter and so both Mindy
and her father decide to leave, suitcases in hand. Sleet and Dingo
come for the watches and find Mindy and her father running away. The
father and daughter are captured so the hedgehogs throw the suitcases in
an attempt to free them. Sonic ends up using one of the reprogrammed
watches to dismantle Sleet and Dingo’s airship, saving the day.
05. Underground Masquerade – A child steals a hood ornament from
Sleet and Dingo. He runs into Sonic, Sonia, and Manic, who are able
to get rid of Sleet and Dingo. The child introduces the siblings to
a group of kids that are all pit pockets. Sonia suggests that all of
the children can find a home after they perform their concert tonight.
Meanwhile, the Duke prepares to pay his taxes to Robotnik. Dingo transforms
himself into a kid and challenges Manic to steal a coin from the Duke’s vault.
Wanting to prove he is still a good pit-pocket, Manic accepts the challenge.
That night the ball starts and the Sonic Underground plays “Let
the Good Times Roll.” During the song, Manic sneaks away, steals
a coin from the vault, and resumes his place. Sleet and Dingo were
watching and they proceed to steal the money. They then demand payment
from the Duke and accuse the Sonic Underground when it is discovered that
the money has been stolen. The pockets of Manic are checked and reveal
the stolen coin. Sonic and Sonia manage to escape, but Manic is arrested.
A kid named Max manages to record a conversation with Sleet and Dingo that
reveals the truth. Max finds Sonic and they proceed to break Manic
from jail. Some robots follow, the video is played, Sleet and Dingo
are arrested. The Duke promises a home to all of the children.
06.
Tangled Webs – While on a mission, Sonia and Manic wait for Sonic. Sonic
runs into Cyrus, who buys Sonic a chili dog. Manic becomes impatient
and continues the mission while Sonia uses a pod (which can serve as a floating
camera and as a weapon) to complete her part of the mission. Eventually
Sonic resumes his mission to destroy the swatbot factory. Later, Sonia
scolds Sonic for not following the plan. Sonic changes the conversation
by introducing Cyrus. Cyrus explains that his father was captured
to build a portable roboticizer. A passer-by mentions Sanctuary, and
Cyrus is later instructed by Robotnik to learn more about Sanctuary.
Everyone decides to make a trip to Sanctuary, and as they travel Cyrus learns
that Sanctuary is for children. He destroys Robotnik’s transmitter,
unable to continue working with Robotnik in an attempt to save his father.
Once the group arrives in Sanctuary, the children ask for a song and the
siblings sing “Children
Light the Way.” Later, Sonic, Sonia, Manic, and Cyrus meet in
a sewer to create a plan. After Sonic leaves to rescue Cyrus’s dad,
Cyrus discovers that it is a trap. Cyrus, Manic, and Sonia are captured.
Sonic is able to use some pods to destroy the roboticizer and its controls,
freeing everyone.
07.
The Deepest Fear – Sonic has a dream that he is fighting Moby Deep, a
sea monster. Although Sonic manages to tie the tentacles together,
he is knocked overboard and begins to drown. Sonic wakes up and decides
to let Sonia and Manic drive onward while he avoids water. He comes
to a town that is loyal to Robotnik, and the citizens chase him. Sonia
and Manic come to Sonic’s rescue. The siblings drive toward a port
and crash into a showboat named the Queen Aleena. They meet Captain
Squeege, who is the local resistance. He explains that the citizens
are loyal to Robotnik because of Moby Deep. Sonia believes that this
is a ploy so that Robotnik can gain support. Manic then develops a
plan to use sound waves to find out what is in the water. Sonic runs
away while the others set out in the Queen Aleena. Sonic discovers
that Moby Deep is actually a submarine and that Sleet is using it to go after
the Queen Aleena. He tries to warn Sonia and Manic, but he is too afraid
to go out on the water. In the process, Sonic ends up chasing some
robots and falls into the water. The real Moby Deep, a whale, rescues
Sonic from drowning and gives him a ride to the Queen Aleena. Sonic,
Sonia, and Manic battle the submarine by singing “Face Your Fear.”
With Sleet and Dingo defeated, Sonic, Sonia, and Manic find out that the
captain was not the one that sent for them.
