Sonic Underground

Sonic Underground (or SU for short) was a series that aired in 1999.  SU is completely different from other Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons.  Sonic has a brother named Manic and a sister named Sonia.  The triplets are destined to someday reunite with their mother, Queen Aleena, and restore order to Mobius.

Each sibling has a medallion of a musical instrument.  When touched, the medallion turns into the instrument, which can also function as a weapon.  Sonic plays the guitar, Manic plays the drums, and Sonia plays the keyboard.  In every episode, the triplets sing a song that either reflects the lesson that they learn in the episode or is just for fun.

While the siblings search for their mother, they learn more about each other.  They must also stay alert to avoid Dr. Robotnik and his new goons Sleet and Dingo.
