The sequel to Metroid Prime, one of the greatest Gamecube games ever made, couldn't possibly be better than its predecessor, could it?  Well, in my opinion, it could.  Metroid Prime 2: Echoes is absolutely brilliant.  The graphics are excellent, the gameplay is great, and there a lot of new features.  Now, Samus has travelled to the planet of Aether, following a distress signal from a patrol troop.  When she arrives, all of them are dead, killed by a mysterious enemy.  She soon finds a member of the ancient Luminoth race that lives on this planet, and learns of Dark Aether, home of the evil Ing.  Dark Aether is a mirror of Aether, only it has a poisonous atmosphere, and is home to the hostile, shape-shifting Ing.  This wouldn't be a problem, if Dark Aether wasn't siphoning energy from Aether itself.  Without Samus's help, the planet will be destroyed.
A War of Light and Darkness
Become the bounty hunter behing the visor once more!  Hunted by a mysterious entity and a warring race called the Ing, Samus Aran must explore the light and dark worlds of a doomed planet, but time runs short...
-Tons of new power-ups await, including the Dark and Light Beams, which make use of an all-new ammo system.
-Travel through portals between Light and Dark Aether as you explore massive worlds crawling with enemies.
-Scan environments, upgrade your suit and visors, and explore every nook and cranny in Morph Ball mode.
-Up to four players can battle as they search for weapons, grapple across ceilings, and turn into Morph Balls to escape.
