| "Wow! You talk!" Alicia said. She appeared utterly surprised only to hear his oldest brother speaking. "You hardly talk to anyone! Especially girls," she giggled. Dianne stared at Andy. She couldn't believe Alicia's words. She couldn't believe that he hardly talked to anybody. Andy in the car with her was very different from what Alicia said. He talked like an ordinary guy would. Could it be that he changed when he was with me? she thought. Nobody knew the answer for that, except Andy himself. "I'm only human. Of course I can talk, except if you thought I was a statue," Andy responded. "Dianne," Brad called softly. Dianne tilted her head to face him. "Thanks." A wide smile created Dianne's face. She thought he wouldn't speak to her ever since the embarrassing incident, but she was wrong. He acted as if nothing happened. He thanked her, and she was happy about it. But why didn't she get a 'thank you' word from Andy? |
