If anything, the fact that silverchair have won the Channel [V] Artists of the Year award for 4 years in a row, proves that you the silverchair fans (and yes, you're one of them if you've come this deep into the [V] website) are all HARDCORE FANS!!! Here are the lads backstage at our ARIA Tropical Oasis, mucking about with Jabbatron.

Jabba: We are here at the ARIAs backstage, the year 2000 and silverchair with us jus here. Ben, Daniel and Chris have walked away for the 4th year in a row with the Channel [V] artists of the year award. What is this ... Rigged town. Rigged!

Daniel: I know.

Jabba: Storm the set. Do you wanna overturn the set? (note here: the look of anticipation on Jabba's face at the hope of an excuse to totally trash the set is quite amusing)

Ben: Oh yeah.

Daniel: No, No, it looks too nice. They've obviously gone to a lot of trouble. We should keep it nice.

Jabba: What have you done with your last three? Do they kind of stack into a puzzle or something?

Daniel: Yeah, like we re-enact Stone Henge? It's like Channel [V]'s Stone Henge.

Jabba: Oh - it's like Spinal Tap: "Not quite big enough to be Stone Henge". Does anyone keep total of how many awards you've won? Cause I mean in your house you've won some weird weird... You've got some weird like a Nickelodeon award and...

Ben: Oh yeah.

Jabba: Do you ever keep track of what you've won?

Boys: Not really, no.

Jabba: Is someone's mum keeping track of it?

Daniel: Probably Ben's mum.

Ben: My mum, yeah.

Daniel: She's probably got a tally.

Ben: Oh kind of, maybe a little bit of a track.

Daniel: She's probably got a list of bands that she hates for beating us.

[they all laugh]

Ben: No nothing official. No.

Jabba : Now I'm looking forward to a big event this Saturday, ah which will be a party. Is it actually your birthday today?

Ben: It's my Birthday today, yes.

Jabba : Happy Birthday, you're 21.

[The backstage crew applauds]

Ben: Thank you, thank you.

Jabba : What did you get him for his birthday?

Chris: Um... [whispers in Jabba's ear]

Jabba : Ah... one of those. Daniel?

Daniel: Same.

Chris: You reckon he'll like it?

Jabba : Yep, he'll love it.

Daniel: It's pretty expensive.

Jabba : Can you go halves in that? Yeah you can actually. So party wise at the after party tonight. You know, for the ideal after party - where would you go and who has to be there?

Ben: Only A-list people, we're A-list people, we're only A-list people.

Jabba : Natalie?

Daniel: Yeah, well there's more than that. There's also all the people who won awards tonight, that's all we hang with, award winners.

Jabba: Of course, of course.

Daniel: And a few nominees as long as they've won in the past.

Jabba: Will you be hanging with Rove at all?

Daniel: Did he win anything?

Jabba: No.

Daniel: No, we won't be hanging with him.

Jabba: I didn't win anything, will you be hanging with me at all?

Chris: We can put you on the guest list if you want?

Jabba: Oh a guest list to hang? That'd be wicked.

Ben: VJs are cool. So we'll hang with you if you want.

Jabba : Oh thank god I'm a VJ.
