1969 Avion Truck Camper Restoration

More restoration

I removed some of the interior skin during the dismantling process so that I could replace some more damaged wood. I also need a piece of interior skin to replace an area that is damaged, so I will take it from the inside of the compartment that holds the fresh water tank and put aluminum coil stock in it's place.  Also, I've begun to repair veneer, repair loose joints, and strip the finish from the interior wood cabinetry and panels.  Here are some photos taken after the damaged wood was replaced and the interior skin was installed, along with earlier photos for comparison.  At the time that these photos were taken, I had also cleaned and repaired the fresh water tank and it's fittings, replaced the pump (many thanks to Ken for donating the used pump motor---it works great with my new pump head), replumbed part of the water system, and done some other minor things.
