| Well this is the first story I have ever written. Not only on the net but at all. It is a story from my own imagination (and what an imagination huh?) Sorry for any typos. Werewolf story. Well I thought it would make an excellent story so here it is. Changes It was cold, the wind was howling through the trees, making the leaves fly and branches snap. Jessie was leaning into the wind, feeling it whip his hair into his face, leaving little red marks where they hit. It was the middle of winter and Jessie hated the walk home from school. It cut straight through the bush and took 15 minutes on a good day. But today the wind was, at what Jessie thought of as, cyclone strong. He was breathing hard frm the "walk" home. His back was hurting just from the strain of walking forwards. Every step was a hassle. A stick cracked behind him. He shook off the feeling that someone was behind him. Following him. He laghed out loud at the stupid thought. The laugh turned into a gasp as a hand fell on his shoulder. He felt like screaming. If he could get any sound past his lips, he would have. He was spun around only to stare at an old man's face. He was surprised that this man who looked to be 100 years old would be able to move him let alone spin him around. "What do you want" Jessie said in a panicky voice. It's only an old man, he started thinking to himself, trying to calm down. It was working for him. "Well" he said in a voice that was much calmer. "I want it over, finish it, please" the old man said in a voice that was both scared and determined at the same time. He was confusing the hell out o Jessie. "What do you nwant finished? Tell me, please." He said deciding that it would be easier to help the guy than leave him to scare people in the woods. "My life, finish it please. I can't take it any more. Finish it!" "I can't do that.". Jessie was getting creeped out by this guy. "What could be so horrible you want to die?". He got no answer for awhile. He decided to start the rest of the walk home when the old man grabbed him, leaned down and bit hard into his forearm. This time Jessie did scream, both out of pain and surprise. He took off running, the wind not a problem now. He was running so fast with the wind cutting through him, he thought he was going to explode if he didn't stop for a breath soon. His house came out of nowhere, like a towering marble skyscraper, stopping the winds force and shielding from any harm. He was home. He was safe. He almost ripped the front door off it's hinges trying to get inside. He collapsed in the foyer, trying to get his breath back. In the time it took for him to recover from his run home and to examine the gash in his arm, his mother had come out of the kitchen to tell him diner would be ready in an hour. He decided to go have a shower to defrost his body and suddenly it hit him. The dance was on tonight and he had forgotten all about it. He decided that he better try and clean his arm and put a bandage on and blame it on a fall. He went upstairs to his shower to clean up and he was his happy-go-lucky self just thinking about the dance that night. His mother, using the intercom on the wall, told him tea was ready. He basically an down the stairs, being very hungry, and found a baked dinner ready for him. "Hey Mum" he said and kissed her on the cheek. "Tea looks great What's the special occasion?". "Don't you have that big dance you have been talking about all year tonight? Rebbecah called, said she would be here around 8:00 tonight." "Thanks Mum" he said and a big grin spread across his face. The ebbing in his arm fading away to nothing. He ate quickly and went to the fridge to get a coke. He drank it while walking up the stairs to his room, threw the empty can in a bin and started to get changed into his tuxedo, which he bought just for this occassion. It was very expensive but he could afford it easily. He admired himself in his mirror and smiled. Rebbecah would be impressed, he thought to himself. He wandered what she would wear and a dirty picture of his girlfriend suddenly sprang into his mind. He heard the doorbell ring and was then starting to go down the stairs when his mother intercommed him to tell him that Rebbecah was here. "I know. I heard the bell ring" he answered back. He picked up a corsage lying on his bed and went downstairs. Rebbecah was standing in the foyer, wearing the most beautiful dress he had ever seen. She was smiling at him and he stared at her, before taking her arm and ushering her to the front door. He kissed his mother goodbye and took his date out into he cold evening air. "You look beautiful" he said to Rebbecah and kissed her. He loved the smell of her hair, of her skin and realised suddenly that he could smell a whole lot of other things too. He looked around him and realised how strage it was that he could hear everything going on around him. He could hear the animals in the bush scurrying about. He started to get scared at this. He looked back at Rebbecah and saw her in frighteningly high focus. He could see everything from each individual hair on her head to the pores on her usually sotless face. Suddenly he was blinded. He couldn't see anything as the light flooded over them both. He cried out, closed his eyes and covered them with his hands. He yelled at his Mum to turn off the porch light. Next Part. |
