Changes Page 2

His mum, thinking they needed privacy and wondering if they would even get to the dance, decided to do as her son said. She turned off the porch light, gave an odd kind of smile and went into the kitchen to make snacks for if they decided not to go.

Jessie could see again when the porch light went off.  He heard his mum walk t the fridge and open it.  Probably making snacks he thought.  He gave a little smile at the thought of his mother actually knowing he was thinking of blowing the dance and taking Rebbecah inside.

Suddenly bending over with a fierce pain in his gut he cried out again.  He looked at Rebbecah and screamed at her.

"Get inside!" he yelled.  Rebbecah stared at him like he was going nuts.  He pushed her towards the door and told her to go inside again.

"Please, it's too much, too strong" he yelled and lunged at her.  She gave a gasp and went inside.  He heard her run into the kitchen with his mum.  She was crying.

He was about to follow her in but decided that was not a good idea.  He didn't know what was happening, he was panicking and he didn't know what to do.

He was hit by a hunger so powerful he felt like he would fly apart at any second.  When he looked at Rebeccah, all the romantic thoughts he had went flying out of his head.  When he looked at her, all he could think of is how she would taste.  What it would feel like to sink his teeth into her flesh and rip and tear and feed.

Jessie gave out a strangled gasp and took off running.  He ran into the woods as fast as he could, clutching his stomach.  He fell to the ground and stayed there.  It wasn't just his stomach that was hurting anymore.  That pain had practically vanished as his whole body was racked in pain.

He got up again and started running.  Running to get away from the pain that shook his whole body.  He fell to his knees and tried to scream but only a strangled sound came out of his mouth.

His whole body was growing black fur, as black as the hair on his head.  His bones were twisting and changing shape.  He was in so much pain he didn't realise his nose was growing outwards and his teeth were growing larger.  His legs shrank and the bones changed direction, he grew a tail and then he totally collapsed as he blacked out and the last shred of humanity left in him was gone.

He was completely animal, a wolf as black as night.

The wolf's eyes sprang open, glowing yellow, and it gave a growl of hunger.

He shook his body and got up onto all four of his paws. He lifted his head and sniffed the air.  Up aheadwas a rabbit, he knew by scent and the sound it made.  He had yet to see it though.  It was moving away from him.

He was on the prowl, hunting the rabbit, totally silent he slowly approached the rabbit.  It was big and that was good.  He pounced on top of it.  It gave a shriek of agony as claws ripped into it, pulling flesh from bone, then it was dead.

The wolf lowered it's head and sunk it's jaws into the flesh.  It felt god to eat it.  It felt good toeat.

In a couple of minutes there was nothing left.  Not even a bone big enough to be a toothpick.  The wolf raised it's head and gave a howl that terrified everything that heard it.  Thewolf took off running, just for the pleasure of the feel of the wind through it's fur.  It loved to run.  It was free, he was king and nothing could rival him.  Nothing could harm him.
