Rings on the index finger were worn by merchants and business men in the middle ages,
while other cultures stated that people who are decisive, ambitious and natural
born leaders wore rings on this finger. They have a sense of direction, and knows where they
want to go and what they want to do. They are confident in themselves.
A middle finger ring implies someone who is sympathetic, knowing, and caring of others by
today's pop culture, but in the old days, it was worn by jokers and fools.
The commitment finger, where people wore rings to show that they are in a loving
relationship, was the pinky. But somehow the ring finger became the choice for wedding rings
and engagement rings. Also seen as a sign of creativity and intuition. On the other hand,
the pinky ring has become a protection against backstabbers by many cultures.
