| Week Four (February 23rd - March 1st, 2003) | ||||||||||||||||||
| Heya! I'm back. Week four is over. A whole month already! Well, actually, I shouldn't say that, it hasn't gone by that quickly really. At least there's only two months of school left! Wahoo! 8 more weeks til I get to move back home, and I couldn't be more excited. I won't EVER have to wear flip flops in the shower! Yay. But anyhow, on to the dirt...this week was...better than last. Everything's drying up quite well. All the scabs are somewhat healed. I still don't look very nice, mind you, but I'm dealing with it. I have tons of flakes on my face now. No matter how much moisturiser I put on, they just won't go away. I'll have to go out and get some Glaxal Base moisturizer tonight, as somone very helpful told me it's better than Cetaphil, thanks Bassy! Another good thing is that I haven't had any nosebleeds this week. I've been (excuse my grossness) lubing the inside of my nose with either Vaseline or Rhinaris, and it seems to work quite well. I only got one new zit this week, so I am very happy. It started out like it was gonna be massive, but I left it alone, and it is surprisingly small. I have to say that my nose is still a "sunburned mess" but I guess it needs more time. The major crisis of this week is that I ran out of my Labello lip stuff. That stuff ROCKS! If anyone out there is looking for a lip balm that does the job, go buy some! It's even cheap, which makes it all that much better. It's like...2 bucks Canadian. You gotta stick with the blue tube "Regular" though. I don't think scented stuff is good for "Accutane lips" ! Yeah, the right bottom corner of my lip is pretty screwed up too. It cracks and bleeds every time I laugh or eat. I guess it's never going to heal then. Oh well, it's a small price to pay if this stuff works. Speaking of "if this stuff works" I'm actually starting to see how it might work for me, and I hope that I only need to be on it for three more months and not four. I really want to get a tattoo in May...but somehow, I have this feeling that getting a tattoo while on Accutane is a bad idea. I don't know. I'll see how my skin feels at that time. I'll probably do it, it's only my foot anyway. If anyone out there has gotten a tattoo while on Accutane, please let me know about it! I need details! Honestly, I'm feeling like Accutane is not as bad in terms of side effects as people make it out to be. I like having a dry face better than having a greasy one! Then again...it was just a good week, and anything could be good after last week's hell. The dryness and things are all stuff that are pretty easily dealt with. The only thing that will bother me is if my hair falls out or I go blind, and HOPEFULLY, that won't happen. Anyhow, I should get going, I have TONS of school work to do. Stupid midterms :( I'll talk to you next week. Good luck all! ~Kat |
