My Basement Apartment in Anam-dong

The bathroom is upstairs, beside the front door. It is completely tiled in shades of sandy-pink. The stairs go down to the main room.

The floor covering is a soft, yellowish, plastic material; it lies over the in-floor heating system. The walls and ceiling are papered with a cream, nubbly-textured, washable paper.

The atmosphere is more like a nest than a cave, very safe-feeling.
