Native trees in the shelter of a college building.
Left:
Young pines at DanKook University.

Right:
Friendly, neighbourhood
police station,
shaded by ginko trees.
When I was lost, cops here hailed me a cab and told the driver what place I wanted to go.
This is a traditional restaurant. they make their own kim chi and pickles.
Right:
Buddhist Temple, predates Dangguk University, which now surrounds it.

How do monks decorate their surroundings?

Flowers.

Left:
Pottery on rooftops, Hannam-dong.
Nearest carving is a fish. Fish's eyes are always open, thus they are watch-fish. Mr. Shin told me that fish are also a motif on old locks.
Note: The swastika is an ancient symbol of
Buddhism's Eight-fold Path
