In Los Angeles its pretty easy to find your way around regarding salsaplaces. The level in general is high and wherever you go, you'll find someone to enjoy dancing with. Anyhow there is a whole lot of salsaplaces to choose from. If you're new in the city and only have a short time to spend you would have to do some real good research before you leave in order to get the most out of it. And no matter how good research you do you wont really know which places are the popular ones, and the real hit each day. That's why I made this website. I've listet the most popular places, the ones that get crowded of professionals and other addictives. The heavens of salsaplaces. When I first got to Barcelona I had the problem that there was no webpages or information about where to go. When I googled "salsa barcelona" I got really poor hits. But I've managed to find most of the popular salsaplaces, due to already knowing some hints of where to go. I've listed these and also some instructors/schools. The level in general is less then in Los Angeles. But here you will find some good dancers in all styles, cuban, LA and New York. Whereas is LA they "only" dance LA-style. The cuban influence is alot stronger in Barcelona and many of the good dancers are very selective about who they dance with. |
