My husband and I are from South Tampa Area, however we were on our way to Ocala, when we decided to see you and your wolves in Brooksville. Your "Princess" looks so very much like our beloved "Yukon". We were glad to see her. When I knelt down to her level to show her this picture of "Yukon", she somehow knew as we both made eye contact that we had loved and lost our beautiful grey wolf. At that moment she walked over to me and kissed me on my cheek and then walked over to my husband and looked him straight in the eyes with great kindness. We thought that moment was so special. Here we were perfect strangers to "Princess". She never had seen us before that day and we will never forget that special moment of heart felt love she showed us. We will carry that memory in our hearts forever. I believe like you do, you have never lived your life until you have looked thru wolf eyes and live with them. They are warm and loving creatures of God and are so very great and gentle with children. It is truly a shame that wolves are given such a bad rap. They are gentle creatures. If only people would get to know them better, this world would be a better place for all of us. I am so very sorry to hear of the troubles you are having with Animal Control. Strange, but true. Shortly after our visit, My husband and I were on Croom & Weatherly Roads and I mentioned to him that a truck, looked like Animal Control. I know those trucks very well, as we too have been hassled with them in our county. The man that was driving that truck was coming out of someone's property around that area, in a hurry I might add. That fool almost hit our van we were in. I thought it very strange that Animal Control would be way out in the country like that. You would think they have better things to do then to hassle people out in the country lots that are beautiful in your area. That man that was in that Animal Control truck was a very reckless driver. Lil Ellie's pups are so beautiful. Thanks for sending me the pictures. It is such a shame that we all try very hard to give animals (our wolves) a chance at life and there are those that will not stop at anything to destroy that life. This insanity needs to stop and just let people do what God put us on this earth for and that is to take care of his own creatures. It is a known fact that most people that show fear towards an animal, knows nothing or very little about them. Animal Control's lack of knowledge of wolves is probably the reason we all get hassled all the time. Believe me, I feel your pain in that regard. When Animal Control found out about Yukon when she was a pup, they were at my doorstep, threatening me to spay her within 30 days. Told me that they would come back if she had pups herself one day and take her and the pups and destroy them all.(Animal Control JUST WANTED TO STEAL HER TOO) So I got her spayed just to get them off my back, however the hassling continued until I came undone and threatened them with a massive lawsuit. Funny how they back down when you mention that word. They never hassled me after that and Yukon almost lived to be 15 years old. To get another pup right now, well I would have my battles start all over again with Animal Control, like you are dealing with. Why can't they just leave us alone to be happy and free spirited like our wolves! I know I will get another pup someday, but will probably move to another area that is more out in the country then where we are now. Our country lot we have is now congested with so many people moving into the areas from 15 years ago and I just know that Animal Control would be at our doorsteps more now than in the past.
