UNITY Front Office, built using the latest client server technology,
links with back office systems to provide an integrated front, middle and back office
system in a straight through processing environment. Modules include portfolio modelling,
performance measurement and order management.

UNITY
CONSULTANT - LONDON BASED - PERM - � NEG - REF FWUC
The UNITY Consultant will assist our clients to implement and gain the
maximum benefit from UNITY in the areas of Order Management, Portfolio Modelling and
Performance Measurement. The role will include product and business consultancy and
involve tasks such as: software configuration, training client staff, planning and design
of test plans, assisting in user acceptance testing and preparation of business procedures
documentation. The role is London based but will involve travel within the UK and
overseas. The tenacity to deal with demanding, business minded fund managers and the
ability to explain the benefits of using ACTs systems is a pre requisite. Full
training will be provided in our client/server Front Office product.
The successful applicant will work on Client projects as part of a
multi disciplinary team of ACTFS staff (developers, technical consultants and support
staff) and client staff (Business users and technology staff). The jobholder needs to be
flexible to work abroad, and previous experience of overseas business travel would be
extremely advantageous. The UNITY Consultant could be away for a few weeks at a time
during implementations - generally returning home at weekends where practical. The
individual should be of degree calibre, and possess excellent communication and
interpersonal skills. He/she must be user focused, pragmatic and comfortable working to
tight deadlines.
BUSINESS
ANALYSTS BIRMINGHAM OR LONDON BASED - REF IHBA
Highly professional business analysts required for Birmingham or London
client base in conjunction with the above new development project. Your communications
skills, both verbal and written, will be of the highest degree to enable you to liaise
with our extensive blue chip client base establishing their needs and wants. You will
demonstrate by your previous experience your ability to deal with all levels of personnel.
JUNIOR & SENIOR ANALYST /
PROGRAMMERS / TEAM LEADERS - REF IH1
Our UNITY team seeks a variety of both junior and senior staff to join
an existing high profile team.
The successful candidates will be involved in the full development
lifecycle, through analysis, design coding, unit testing and system testing.
Applicants will ideally have experience of the Financial Services
industry, preferably Investment Management or stockbroking, and developing within NT and
UNIX. Candidates should possess an analytical mindset, be able to think logically through
a design, be quick and accurate at coding and take a methodical approach to testing.
SYSTEM TESTERS
- BIRMINGHAM - PERM - REF IH3
We have vacancies for two permanent staff within our dedicated system
testing team. Successful candidates will have a methodical approach to testing and will
thrive on bringing order to a fast-moving environment. Experience of automated testing
tools would be advantageous.
Based within our UNITY team, successful candidates will demonstrate
essential experience of C, C++ and RDB, preferably SQL. Additionally, Visual Basic, Sybase
and OO Design would be advantageous.
TECHNICAL
SUPPORT SUPERVISOR - LONDON / BIRMINGHAM - REF IB2
Part of a team supporting two sites, this is a hands-on
role, ideally based in London, with travel to Birmingham as necessary. Reporting to the
Internal Systems Manager, the successful applicant will help lead both teams in support of
the internal network infrastructure, covering every level from Computer Room to Desktop,
and also be involved periodically with the departments many projects.
Skill Requirements:
- Ethernet LAN, Windows NT and Exchange *
- VMS and UNIX *
- Minimum four years experience
- Proven supervisory experience
- Knowledge of voice systems and wide area networks **
- Preferably MCP / MCSE qualified **

PRODUCTION SUPPORT ANALYST -
PERM - LONDON -REF PH
A Production Support Analyst is required to join an existing team based in our City
office. The successful candidate will have 1� - 2 years experience of LAN (Ethernet
technologies), and ideally have had exposure to WAN technologies (Bridging and Routing).
Any UNIX or VMS experience would be highly advantageous. Additionally, strong customer
facing skills are required, combined with the ability to work well in a team environment.
