NOVA is a multi-market, multi-currency system providing fully integrated functionality for Principal and Agency (retail and institutional) trading and settlement. An international solution, NOVA conforms to the rules and practices of local markets regarding trading, settlement and compliance.

NOVA is an international trading and settlement system developed using true Object Oriented technology, and built upon a distributed objects-client/server architecture, NOVA’s open design and industry standard Graphical User Interface make the system simple to use, develop and maintain.

The jobholder will assist our clients to implement and gain the maximum benefit from NOVA. The role will include product and business consultancy. Tasks will involve software configuration, training client’s staff in how to use NOVA, assisting users with the planning and design of test plans and with user acceptance testing, and preparation of business procedures documentation.

The role is London based, but will involve travel within the UK and overseas. The tenacity to deal with demanding, business minded trading and settlement staff is a pre-requisite. Full training will be provided in ACT’s new NOVA product. The jobholder will be expected to have good Stockbroking experience and knowledge of international trading and settlement practices. The NOVA consultant will work on client projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team of ACT staff (developers, technical consultants and support staff) and client’s staff (business users and technology staff).

The successful applicant should be of degree calibre, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. He/she must be user focused, pragmatic and comfortable working to tight deadlines.
