I Am the Summer's Caught Firefly:By Ceton
Back     Home     Next
Glass surrounds me,
As I flutter my wings
Senseless concussions,
due to my attraction to freedom
A smile from the outside,
peeks into my prison
Sim light shines,
but not so much as before
Holes in the lid
Just enough to keep me,
living
Sticks and grass to reflect,
what they think I know
What life is this?
One that I so recently aquirred
Caught in a cage,
to be admired by a child
Such happiness created,
for such a short time
Only in the end,
as the summer sun fades,
is it my time to die,
in this little glass jar.
