Chapter 7     Long Stories    Chapter 9
Chapter 8

There was a screech and a bang and Harry flew off his bed straight into the wall opposite.Harry laid on the ground for a minute then crawled around to find his glasses. They were lieing on the floor next to Christina's bed. She was lieing fast asleep still on her bed. Harry looked out the window.
They were in front of a beautiful large, old house. It had white pillars that formed a large front porch. There was also a huge front door with frosted glass in the middle. Harry was amazed, he expected something very simple and sweet, I mean Hermione's parents were dentists.
Harry looked down at Christina. He walked over to her bed and shook her slightly,"We're here Christina.",he said softly. Her eyes flickered for a moment, then she bounded out of the covers.
She hopped outside and nodded her head at Stan,"Thank you very much, Mr.Shunpike. Give my compliments to Mr. Prang also."
Then she gave him a gold galleon and stepped out.
"Now what?",asked Harry.
"Well,I leave you here now.",smiled Christina.
"What?!", shouted Harry,"You can't leave me here! I thought your job was to watch me! Leaveing me isn't watching me!"
Christina searched in her cloak and pulled out a necklace,"Such a temper you have. Here,",she gave him a necklace,"If you get into trouble, just squeeze this until it turns green and myself and the Order will come."
Christina hugged him and took his face and kissed his cheek,"Believe me, I won't let any damn Death Eaters take you without a fight. Do you have your box?"
Harry pulled out the box from inside his sweatshirt,"Good boy, I'll send you an owl every week to check on you. Now stay out of trouble so I don't get in trouble."
Harry turned and looked at the porch,"Christina, do you think anyone will answer the door?"
Harry turned around but Christina was gone.
He looked at the necklace lieing in his hand. It had a golden chain with a gold and red phoenix hanging from it. Harry put it around his neck and tucked it into his shirt. He ran up onto the porch and rang the doorbell. He heard soft steps race downstairs and a surprised, disheveled Hermione stared at him,"Harry!!!"
She jumped on him and grabbed him in a tight hug,"I'm so glad you're here! I've been worried sick about you! How're you feeling? I'm so sorry about Sirius. You know the Weasley's invited us to come stay with them for the rest of the summer. And......"
Before Harry had a chance to reply, the smile on Hermione's face had faded,"Harry, how did you get here?"
Harry looked down at his wand sticking out of his front pocket,"Don't worry Hermione, I didn't use any magic to get here."
Hermione smiled again,"Who said that?"
Harry got his things off the front lawn and dragged them inside. Harry looked around, the house was very neatly arranged with toupe colored walls and white leather couches and polished wooden chairs. And there were books everywhere! Now Harry knew where Hermione's love of reading came from.
Hermione and Harry sat down on the couch and Harry told her about Christina's visit. Hermione sat in thought for a few minutes,"That's really very reckless! Not under orders?! She could get into so much trouble! But still,it's difficult for me to see why Sirius didn't want you to know about Christina."
Harry looked down at his feet,"It's weird, I don't know how to feel about her. I mean she got me away from the Dursley's but..... I don't know. I just know that she'll be able to kill Voldemort with me because, to be honest, she's amazing."
Hermione smiled,"Finally, You have someone who knows how you feel other than myself and Ron. We're no help."
Harry shook his head,"You are loads of help, both of you, but no one knows how I feel."
No sooner had these words escaped his mouth,he heard a voice. A dark, sinister, evil voice that seemed to come from all around them. Harry looked at Hermione to see if she heard it too. She obviously could. She was pale and wide eyed and she was looking wildly around her.
"Your time is up Potter. There's no Dumbledore to save you now. I have you right where I want you."
The front door slammed open and a tall, gaunt man with yellow, evil eyes wearing a long black cape walked slowly into the house, Lord Voldemort,"Did you think you could run? Lord Voldemort knows all Potter!", he said, smirking.
He threw his head back in an evil laugh.
He looked at Harry,"No more stalling, I'm afraid it's time to die."
Harry saw Hermione's parents creep down the stairs. Voldemort turned and pointed his wand at them,"Crucio!", he shouted. The Grangers fell down the rest of the stairs and lay on the floor wriggling and screaming in pain. Hermione screamed and ran to them. Voldemort turned to strike once more but Harry threw himself at Voldemort and fought for the wand.
Voldemort threw Harry against the wall. Harry laid there with his chin on his chest, dazed,"Do you feel alone Potter?"
Harry heard him,far away, but he heard him and he refused to give up. Harry shook his head and glared at Voldemort.
"No? Well,we'll soon fix that."
He turned towards Hermione but Harry crawled towards her and laid on top of her sobbing body,"Just take me. Isn't that what you want?"
Voldemort smirked,"Oh no Mr.Potter, that's not what I want, what I want is for you to suffer like I have. To feel alone and desperate. This is what I want, not you."
He started to walk slowly towards him. Harry looked around in desperation, Hermione didn't have her wand and his was lieing on the floor next to the couch. He reached for the necklace but then he remembered The Box.
