| Chapter 6 A tear escaped Harry's eye. He felt so numb and sad. He stared at the box, then back at Christina and he became suddenly angry. Christina smiled under a blanket of tears, "You can look into the box now Harry." Harry and Christina both inched closer to the box and looked inside. The box was made of a beautiful shining silver. The inside was lined with a deep ruby red velvet. The items inside were very simple, two old wands, one that was very good with charms and very limber, the other good with spells, good wood and very sturdy. And one small glass ball. Harry had seen a whole room full of these glass orbs before in the Department of Mysteries in the Ministry of Magic. Harry remembered his adventure last year and started to sob harder but so quietly that it took Christina a long while to realize he was crying. Harry didn't want to risk the Dursley's hearing him. Harry closed the box and then stared at the lid but wasn't really looking at it. He closed his eyes and replayed what Dumbledore had told him last term,"Neither can live whilst the other survives." Harry knew what this meant without asking. For the past three weeks he felt like a murderer, ever though he had only killed Professor Quirrell in his first year, which really wasn't his fault. Each time Quirrell touched him, his mother's love which sprang from Harry's blood protected him. Christina wiped her eyes and sat up straight and hurridly cleared her throat,"Well, let us ask leave from these sad, sordid state of affairs. Where's your trunk? We've got to leave before those muggles wake up." She looked over at the clock,"It's almost five AM as it is!" Harry wiped his tears and looked up at her with a puzzled sort of expression,"Where exactly are we going?" Christina smiled,"You'll see, now where are your things?" "All of my stuff is in the downstairs cupboard, but where are we going?", he whispered as he followed her out of the room. |
