| Chapter 34 Christina let go of Harry and smiled at him. Harry got up from the ground and held out his hand for Christina. She took his hand and he pulled her up. Harry looked at his watch to see what time it was. It was 3 o' clock, Ron, Hermione, and Liz wouldn't be back for another 3 hours. He looked at Christina who was leaning against the tree biting her thumb nail. She looked up at Harry who smirked at her. "What are you thinking about Harry?", asked Christina "Nothing, let's clean up and bring this stuff back to the kitchens." "Alright." The two folded the blanket and put the plates and utensils back into the basket. They did it in complete silence but they spoke to each other with their eyes. When they had every thing cleaned up they took each others hands and walked up the hill towards the castle. They entered the Entrance Hall and Harry turned to the left to go down to the dungeons. "Where are the kitchens any way?", asked Christina. "This way." And Harry pulled her down a corridor brightly lit with torches and adorned with pictures of food. They stopped in front a picture of fruit. Harry tickled the huge pear. The picture swung open and the two walked in. Dobby and Winky both ran over to the two of them. "Harry Potter! Good Afternoon Harry Potter! Did you and your friend have a nice lunch?", said Dobby. "Miss would you like some tea?", Winky asked Christina. "No thank you dear.", said Christina, smiling. Harry handed Dobby the blanket and the basket. "Dobby, I'm sorry,we can't stay long. I'm taking Christina somewhere special." "Where is Harry Potter taking the Miss?" "Do you remember the Room of Requirement?" Dobby nodded. "Well,I require it. Don't tell Christina though." "Dobby promises not to say a word." "Thanks Dobby. I'll talk to you later!" Harry grabbed Christina's hand and pulled her back into the corridor. Christina had managed to be given several doughnuts and Pumpkin Pasties. Harry pulled Christina up the stairs by the hand. They passed several second years who oggled at Harry like some zoo animal but as Harry was used to this he hardly cared. Although she did want to go back and say something, Christina relented and let Harry lead her up the stairs once more. They finally reached a tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy. Harry turned to face Christina. "Alright, now what I need you to do for me is walk with me past this wall three times concentrating on what we need." "What do we need? Harry, what are you talking about?" "Just walk past it three times thinking about....about some place quiet and romantic where we can't be disturbed and where we can be alone for a while." "Ok,I can do that.", said Christina, smirking. She grabbed his hand and they began to walk back and forth in front of the wall. They wheeled around for the third time and Harry opened his eyes. He saw the familiar polished door and reached for the brass handle. Harry pulled open the large door and pulled Christina in. The room was dimly lit with a big cozy couch with pillows and blankets. There was also a crackling fire with some Butterbeer on the table next to the couch. Christina smiled and ran in front of Harry and pulled him towards the couch. She laid down on the couch. "Well, Mr.Potter, it seems we're alone again. What shall we do?" Harry smiled, "I think first we should start with some butterbeers because we have about three hours until anyone misses us." Harry opened a butterbeer and handed it to her. He opened one for himself and sat down next to her on the couch. "Cheers", said Harry. "Cheers", said Christina. They both took a gulp of butterbeer when Christina put hers down on the floor. "Harry, when did you get so romantic and sensitive? I was talking to Hermione and she said you weren't like this with Cho Chang." "You know about her?" "Hermione told me all about you and her. Did she really bring you to some stupid pink restaurant and then she wanted to talk about her ex?" "Yeah, but I feel different with you. I vowed to myself last year that I didn't need her. Then, when I met you I felt so different. I know that I'm in love with you Christina. You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen." Christina's eyes got blurry, "Harry, that was the most beautiful thing anyone has ever said to me!" "So our discussion is off? Can we be together now?" "Is that what you really want Harry? Don't you think it might ruin what we have now?" "I don't care I just want to tell everyone that I'm in love with the most beautiful girl in the world! I'll climb to the North Tower and scream to everyone if that is what you want." "No, that won't be necessary. But I want to know how much you love me. Kiss me Harry and I'll know." Harry wrapped his hands around her waist and Christina wrapped hers around his neck and leaned back. Harry slowly put his lips on hers and once again he felt that warmth and love wash over him. Harry found a comfortable spot on the couch and continued to kiss her. He never wanted to let go of this beautiful girl but he knew sometime he would but for now he felt like the happiest guy in the world, for once and maybe the last time. |
