| We are Silent Fighting. We began as an idea created by numerous people in early 2001, many of who had no actual intent in being involved. Greg and Matt were the only two who were serious about it, but of course we couldn't have a two person band. We needed a third member. We decided to give one of Greg's friends, Danny, a call. He seemed like he was interested and had been playing guitar for only a short while before then, but we weren't looking for experience. We instantly clicked and wrote our first song, 'Stillness', in Greg's garage. Although it wasn't good (we were oblivious), it was a start. We performed at our 7th grade talent show and realized we needed much more work. We also realized we needed a bassist, so Danny agreed to switch from guitar to bass. We then started writing decent music. We played our 8th grade talent show, and showed we had improved greatly, and won first place. We played a bunch of parties, and then began playing at Warp Skate Park, drawing in crowds for the first time. By 2003, we decided we wanted a second guitarist to progress our sound further. We tried out a couple, and finally found Drew. Drew blew us away at how talented he was. He was instantly in the band and has helped us out a lot. Our sound has changed many times over, but it seems we have finally found a sound of our own. |
