Those Metal Cheese-core fools Silent Demise have a demo !! Yes we finally got off our collective arses and recorded a demo, hopefully this will be the beginning of a new era. (Well you never know) The demo will be a 4 track cd - written, produced, recorded, funded er, whatever else by ourselves and hopefully it'l be available for the princely sum of 0 at our gig THIS MONDAY AT THE JOINERS (24th), with DAYS IN DECEMBER ! What better excuse to come down eh ? If you can't make it, im sure one of us will be able to supply demos (assuming we can afford cd's !) Three fifths of Silent D are off to see KILLSWITCH ENGAGE in london on sunday, so if the drums and guitars sound even more bollocks than usual on monday - you know why ! But seriously, come down to the Joiners on monday for a rocktastic night of music. SI 5th January 2005 --------------------------- HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU FROM THE DEMISE Ok so the site hasn't been updated in a while, although we seem like a bunch of slackers, we have actually been quite busy... writing new material, getting drunk and... well thats it really. If anyone is free on MONDAY 24TH OF JANUARY, we are playing the JOINERS ARMS, SOUTHAMPTON with DAYS OF DECEMBER. If you would like to buy tickets get in touch with the band through the guestbook or the Silent Demise e-mail link in the top right of your screen. We also have a gig in February at some point, but i will give more info on that when i know whats going on. Check out the pics section for a few drunken pics of us and friends on new years eve. Dan 5th August 2004 -------------------------- Hello everyone, yeah thats right, someone has been arsed to do an update to the site. Well where to start. Anal bonding is as frequent as always. We have played 2 shows at the Joiners, 2 shows at the Horseshoe and a gig at the Nexus since this site was last updated, although there may be more that i can't remember. We have written numerous new songs, all by the name of 'new song' followed by a letter, i think that we are up to New Song G now!!! We are apparently due to play a gig at the Wedgewood Rooms and a gig in Winchester on the 18th of this month for Manifest, which should be a laugh... although i have updated the gigs page, i need to add more information as you will see. Stay tuned for more information and feel free to come along to one of our shows and boo us. Rock on... --- Dan --- _______________________________ 3rd April 2004 ------------------------- hey y'all, it's been a rocking couple of weeks for the Demise crew, we're playing a bunch of shows, (check the gig page) so there's no excuse not to come to a least one :p (i'm sure there'll be some "super happy fun prize" for anyone hardcore enough to go to all of them :o ) and talk is in the air about the infamous demo that we still haven't got round to doing. we're picking tracks and checking out studios as we speak, we'll keep you posted on it's progress... rockin' mike _______________________________ 17th March 2004 ------------------------- wow, first show back and headlining over 2 great bands (not by choice, see bellow) was pretty daunting, but we managed to pull off our set with no major fuck ups which is always a bonus. we got a good reception, some ego tickling feedback and (most importantly) were offered more shows, huzzar! with a bit of luck silent demise will be rocking the joiners, thorngate, the...ah hum..horseshoe, and maybe the wedge i'd like to say a massive thank you to the people that showed their support, winchester's quite a trek so it was great to see you there! big thanks to rest at nothing and turn down tomorrow for making me shit myself at the thought of following their sets, and simon from tdt for putting us on in the first place mike _______________________________ 15th March ( 00:30 ) ------------------------- Bit of a development. Things are looking up on all fronts, now all we need is for the gig to go smoothly. Unfortunately Scott has a cold at the moment, but i'm sure he won't let it get in the way on the 16th.
