    #1 Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader?
    Starts May 1st to May 31st
    This will be a monthly competition between the Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, and Deaf-Blind that would like to participate. Winners will be picked based on a point system of correct answers and the top 3 winners each month will receive prizes! If you would like to participate please contact me at [email protected] for the papers to start (they will be mailed to you if you are unable to pick them up.) Why is this important? Did you know doing a puzzle on paper like these everyday delays you from Alzheimer�s disease? Did you know Alzheimer�s disease is the 4th reason for death in the elderly?

    Marriage Seminar
    Spark gone from your marriage? Need a tune up to the relationship?
    Come to this seminar and learn how to understand each other better and get the love you need.

    2008 SUMMER CAMPS ARE HERE!!!!




    Hello! My name is Briggette Ochoa and I am the Youth Director at League for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. I�ve set up the 2008 summer camps schedule. I�ve listed our camps in the below of this email. If you are interested, please let me know! I�d be more than happy to help you. The registration forms for the camps are also ready to go! Please feel free to distribute this email to the deaf community or to your people! If you need the registration forms mailed out to you, please response back to me and let me know which camp registration form you will need and your mailing address.


    1) Camp Rise and Sign � May 2-4th

    Cost: $80.00 per person
    Who: 2nd to 12th graders
    Deaf, hard of hearing, children/friends/siblings of deaf child/adult(s)
    What: A weekend filled with educational and recreational activities / develop social skills

    2) Youth Summer Sign Program Session 1: June 2-13th
    Cost: $300.00 (including supplies/materials/snacks/field trips)
    Who: 1st to 6th graders
    What: To learn American Sign Language and educational / recreational outings
    *student must bring lunch DAILY*

    3) Youth Summer Sign Program Session 2: June 16-27th
    Cost: $300.00 (including supplies/materials/snacks/field trips)
    Who: 7th � 12th graders
    What: To learn American Sign Language and educational / recreational outings
    *student must bring lunch DAILY*

    4) Stepping Stones: July 7-25
    Cost: $360.00
    Who: 4th to 8th graders (DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING ONLY)
    What: Learn math, reading, writing/spelling, art & crafts, Deaf Culture, educational / recreational outings
