I started my professional career in July 1998 with CAD Centre, IIT Mumbai. The work involved preparing steady state simulations for UREA Plant using PRO/II.
I joined IOCL in July 1999 at Gujarat and was then posted at Panipat Refinery in September 1999 as Process Engineer. Worked as a contact engineer for hydrocracker, hydrogen generation unit and diesel hydro de-sulphurization unit for a brief period and was then shifted to advnaced controls cell. Learned APC and with the hep of honeywell implemented APC in RFCCU.
Was transferred to Mathura Refinery in May 2003 as Sr. Process Engineer (APC) to start the advnaced controls cell. Implemented DMC Plus in hydrocracker and hydrogen generation unit with the help of Aspen Tech Engineers. Further to this, implemented SMOC on second hydrogen generation unit, diesel dydrotreater and Isomerization unit. Was also responsible for maintaining the honeywell PHD system at Mathura Refinery.
Presently working with Honeywell Middle East in Abu Dhabi since Aug'06. Have worked on number of projects:
1. Ammonia Plant APC commissioning at FERTIL, Abu Dhabi.
2. Methanol Plant APC application at SIPCHEM, Saudi Arabia.
3. Benefit study at Ethyene Plant, SADAF in Saudi Arabia.
