| Sigma Delta Tau's national philathropy is the National Committee to Prevent Child Abuse. We hold fundraisers to support this cause, as well as participate locally with other philanthropies. | Throughout the semester, the philanthropy chair is required to set up various philanthropies or fundraisers to support the surrounding communities. After the tragic, September 11th incident, the sisters of Sigma Delta Tau and the brothers of Sigma Phi Epsilon held a car wash to raise money for the families' of the victims lost. The fundraiser raised close to $800 of which Stop and Shop said they would match it. It is also the job of this chair to organize a fundraiser for our national philanthropy, The National Committee to Prevent Child Abuse. Since April is National Prevent Child Abuse month, we have dedicated our time to sell blue ribbons in our Campus Center to raise money for the cause. Along with the ribbons, we are providing pamphlets that contain information about abuse and how to help prevent it. All the sisters of the Psi Chapter have worked hard to participate in these philanthropies and raise money to prevent child abuse. | ||||||||||||||||||||
