Sifilis was first born somewhere in 1996, with the two founding members Lauro Benvinda -guitar & voice- and André Correia -drums-. Marco joined the band later playing keyboards. By that time, the band sounded something like  Heavy/Doom. In march of  1997 Marco left the  band  and António Martins -Lead guitar- and Álvaro Miguel Delgado -Bass guitar- were soon to joined. The musical  type played by the  founding  members would not pleased by António Martins who a few months later would  leave  the band. Paulo Rosa would be the chosen one to replace António  Martins. After this new entry the band was sounding more Speed/Trash with distinct influences of some bands like Megadeth, King Diamond and Black Sabbath. The Demo-Cd " The Slay Begins " marks a new step in Sifilis's  career. After giving some gigs, the band intends to promote their sound and step out of the anonymity.
