So far so bad

Though born to Mr. Naficy, Siamak recovered sufficiently to be admitted to UCLA to pursue a degree in philosophy. After actually listening to the conversations amongst philosophers, he switched to biology, but complete boredom with chemistry classes saved him from a lucrative career in medicine. So, he switched and finally completed a doctorate in biological anthropology. Though this has not stopped his professing anthropology, it has slowed him down a bit. Still, he loves teaching classes in in the field, once for ten years, within the classrooms of Santa Monica College, but for now at Monterey; and he still loves doing his bit for charity, much of it, like his essays for BenBella books, or indeed this website.

His own work examines the evolution of intelligence in dogs compared with wolves, and is happily reminded by colleagues that it was he who first said dogs are the new chimps. He makes a point of rescuing Siberian Huskies from certain death, and is at least as dark as khaki.

(Of course, there are several other facets of the man, as there are of you, but, if you're interested, let's leave that discovery up to you).
