1. Copyrights: This website is run and maintained by I, Albert Yao, thus it is copyright 2003 to me and the rest of my cohorts in the airsoft group, everything you see here is original content.

2. We are not liable for what you choose to do with an airsoft gun. We merely provide information pertaining to the sport of airsoft, take good care of yourself. Use safety and common sense when dealing with airsoft.

3. Airsoft: You may have questions regarding airsoft in Michigan, as you may have heard that it's banned or whatever, this is a message by WTS-Mike of the Michigan Airsoft Forums regarding litigation (You can go here to read the discussion topic if you wish.)

a note on the "rumor" of airsoft being illegal at one time, and now legal is FALSE.
Airsoft was never illegal in Michigan, but the companies reading our BB gun law (747 imports, WGC, REDWOLF)construed it to include airsoft simply because of the MIchigan Firearm definition "propels a dangerous projectile greater than .177 caliber by means of air spring, gas, etc...." (paraphrased slightly, but thats the gist of it) and the thing is IMO that PAINTBALL shoots a .68 cal projectile (MUCHO greater than .177) at 250-300 fps. and by taking the weight of projectile and the speed of flight you can calculate the IMPACT ENERGY in JOULES. For paintball it works out to be like 14 JOULES The Attorney General ruled that they (PAINTBALL GUNS) were not considered firearms, and they refered to airsoft as a "type" of paintball gun, when we wrote them a letter some years back inquiring about the airsoft legality/definition issue
Airsoft in the same "energy" formula = .5 - 2 joules of energy (2 for a highly upgraded gun) so SIGNIFICANTLY less energy. PLUS they can shoot paintballs if they NEED to...
The sport or the replicas are not outlawed specifically, meaning, that NOWHERE in the Michigan Code does it say "AIRSOFT REPLICAS ARE CONSIDERED FIREARMS, AND THEREBY, etc, etc, etc..." BUT it could be up to interpreteation by certain Police departments, etc...
so keep your noses clean

Besides, airsoft is designed to be safe, law enforcement use airsoft guns for training so they are pretty safe, you just need proper facial protection- ANSI-rated goggles and/or masks are optimum.
