"After Joanie picked me up at the post office but before she went home and took me out of the box, she drove around Farmington taking some photos for you all to see. Remember, this is Dec. 31 and notice...no snow! (Joanie calls this the 'educational page' since you learn things here and I am in only one photo, and I am teeny, tiny there!")
"This is the post office where Joanie picked me up. That may only interest Joanie Templeton who is the postmistress of the post office in Christmas, Florida! Neat! And next to it is a wood carving on the wall of the post office done by an artist during the depression when the government paid artists to do works around the country. Good idea, huh?"
"This is where Joanie's office is. Not a very pretty building, is it! And she tells me her office has no windows. I would HATE that. She hates that too!"
"This is Merrill Hall at the University of Maine at Farmington. UMF is the oldest public institution of higher learning in Maine, established in 1863.  Joan and Tom both graduated from there. And it also was voted two years in a row by U.S. News and World Report as being the best public college for liberal arts in the Northeast. Wow!!"
"This is the congregational church, a very pretty building with a membership active in the community. And Joanie tells me she just could not resist taking some photos of the pretty windows!"
"Joanie took me to a meeting of the Mt. Blue Community Resolution Team, a group of volunteers who works with victims and youthful offenders in an attempt to 'right the wrong' They are a nice group of people and come from all walks of life: teachers, clergy, artists, homemakers, writers, nursing, daycare workers, composers, reporter, business people and more. Here is a photo of them with me."

"Marnie Lawson, a wonderful watercolor artist, is holding me in this photo. Can you see me? Joanie has one of Marnie's paintings in her living room and she has given others as gifts. Here is the painting that Joanie has."
