"Joanie lives in a small town in Maine which has a lot of small wood products industries. It does have a bank, a post office, two stores, a library, a town office, a school, a park, and a tennis court so they are not totally living in the 'boonies!' The town of Farmington which is the county seat of Franklin County where they are many nice shops and the Univ. of Maine at Farmington in nearby. The scene is of the hills just up the road from Joanie's house. At the top of the road it dead-ends in some beautiful fields with great views." |

"This is Joanie and Tom's funny little house! I am glad that they are building a new one. Little Orphan Annie tells me where not to go in the house for fear of leaks. And I stay away from the walls where it is drafty and cold. I like the woodstove heat, though, and all the plants." |

"Here is the new house Tom and Joanie are building. It still has VERY MUCH to be done inside. Joanie says if I come back in two years, maybe it will be ready. When she gets it done, she gets a kitty cat too. Oh boy!" |

"Aunt Joanie let me pick out a postcard and I chose this funny wooden one to send to Aunt Janie Hile who arranged my cross-country tour. I wanted to mail it to Janie, but Joanie is afraid it will break so we will send it to Janie with the gifts I have received. Isn't the front so funny?! I told Joanie I wanted to get kissed by a moose too, but she said I wouldn't want to! She says they have moose breath!" |

"Did you know I was a fan of Denzel Washington? Well, I am. I found this photo of him on Joanie's computer and gave him a goodnight kiss before going to bed one night. It was hard to do this and not step on the keyboard keys and make all kinds of funny things happen!" |
