ARMY DAYS

Hey it was great. Turned wrenchs on alot of stuff. Look at all the cool things they gave us to play with. Sure things were big, like REAL BIG! We just used a bigger wrench.

Here's one of my old friends Bob. He's standing on one of the several recovery vehicles we had. Big 56 ton tracks and 10 ton trucks. Bob drove the "Big Pig". He was kind of upset when we got it stuck and the track locked up.
The Bone Yard
For the big jobs we used to tow all the broken stuff to the maintenance area. Called it the "Boneyard". In the can is an engine, about a ton. We stayed up all night doin that one.
Here we are in the maintenance tent doin another engine. Two cycle V8 diesel, talk about torque.
We had some variety, got to do trannies too. Funny how it always happened at night.
Wrenching in the artillary was a real challange. Keeping things on the road was hard work.
All of it payed off down range though. A little team work goes along way!
