Closing the door behind her, she sat in the small cubicle waiting for him to appear from the other side.
�Forgive me father for I have sinned. It has been almost a year since my last confession.� Sheridan whispered making the sign of the cross of her chest.
�Sheridan, my child, speak freely. What have you come to confess?� Father Lonigan spoke from the other side.
�I have committed a horrible sin and I need forgiveness for my since. I have made many lives suffer for my wrongful act. Please I need forgiveness.� Sheridan said as the tear fell freely from her eyes.
�Sheridan, please tell me what has happened?�
She leaned forward letting the rest of the horrific events of that night pour from her lips.

�Luis where are you going?� She asked frantically grabbing at his arms.
�Sheridan, I have to do this! Julian and Alistar have caused enough pain for you in my lifetime and I can no longer stand for it.� He said gently pulling the door closed.
Sheridan stared out the window as she watched Luis walk towards the mansion. Everything was out of control and there was no way she could stop it anymore. Looking over at the small case in the living room, she noticed one of the guns missing from its place.
�No.� Sheridan whispered.
Running out the door, she finally caught up with him. �Luis, please give me the gun!�
Luis stopped, �Go back to the cottage. Coming with me isn�t safe.�
�No, you can�t do this my father will kill you! No questions asked!�
�GO BACK!�
Sheridan was startled by the outburst, �Ok; I�ll go back.�
Luis didn�t say anything as he continued his pursuit. Sheridan waited until he disappeared inside the mansion when she followed him through the doors.
The whole mansion was dark which left her with a very scared feeling.
The only light that shown was from under the door of her brother�s library. Placing her ear up against the door, all she could her was muffled voices.
�Maybe they went somewhere else.� She thought backing away from the door.
The voices behind the door then rose and all of sudden two gunshots rang out into the air.
Nothing stopped her from slamming the door open.
�Oh my God! Luis!�
Luis was strung up under the strong arm of her father with a gun pressed to his temple.
�Sheridan, get out of here!� Luis hissed.
�My darling daughter, how wonderful is it for you to join us this evening. You can watch your husband die and then we can reunite as a family.� Alistar boasted clicking off the safety of the gun.
�Like hell we will!� Sheridan said pulling the small handgun from the waistband of her jeans.
�Sheridan? What are you doing with that?� Luis said struggling to get lose of Alistar�s grip.
�It�s my job to end this Luis not yours and I�m willing to pay whatever penalty which comes at me.� She said golly the gun.
�Now Sheridan put the gun down...� Alistar started.
�SHUT UP!� She screamed. �All I ever did was be your daughter and all I ever wanted was to marry the man I love. You just couldn�t accept that. I love Luis and were going to be together because there isn�t going to be any more murder attempts or schemes.�
�How is that?� Alistar whispered staring down the barrel of the gun.
�It�s time to eliminate the cause.� She said pulling the trigger.
Alistar fell back onto the floor. A small amount of blood gushed from a wound right in his heart.
She sat and stared at his crumpled body in amazement. �Oh my God...�
Luis ran over to her and wrapped his arms around her. He held her close stroking her hair and comforting her.
A loud pounding began to come from the door. �What the hell is going on in there?� A voice boomed from the other side.
�That is security and pretty soon the police will be here.� Sheridan whispered still staring at the body on the floor. She stood up and began to walk towards the door.
Luis took the small gun and wiped it clean with a handkerchief. Finally he held the gun with his own hand, filling it with his fingerprints.
Sheridan opened the door and found a couple security guards staring over her should at Alistar�s body.
�The police needs to be called...� She started.
�Just take me in.� Luis said walking over to the two security guards. He turned around and handed them the murder weapon. The guards began to pat him down and cuff him.
�You have to right to remain silent. Anything you say or do will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney...� The guard began to read his rights.
�Luis what are you doing?� Sheridan said frantically.
�I killed him and I have to pay the price.� Luis said using his eyes to quiet her.
�No...� She started.
�Sheridan...I was the one who started this and I knew full well of my intentions on the way over here. Live and be free Sheridan. I love you.� He said kissing her on the forehead.
�I�m going to get you out of this!� She screamed as the house began to invade full of cops and investigators demanding for her to answer questions but she walked by them in a daze.
�What have I done? I�m a murderer.�

�I killed my father! Luis didn�t do it! I did it! He loved me enough to go to jail for me and let me live my life.� Sheridan wailed finishing her story.
�My child, your father certainly was an evil man. Although you committed murder, you did out of protection for yourself and for the man you love. He would�ve killed you otherwise.� Father Lonigan said.
�Thank you father for speaking with me.� She whispered.
�Anytime my child. May God watch over you and Luis.�
�Thank you.� She said walking out of the confessional.
Driving back to her cottage, she decided to stop off at Lighthouse Park to think.
�I killed my Father and I don�t regret it. He would�ve hurt Luis and me. Now I have to devote my life to getting the man I love out of prison. I�m coming for you Luis.� She thought in her head.
She stood up and looked over the beautiful sunset that began to set over the ocean.
�I love you Luis. I�m coming for you. I�m coming.� She whispered.
***Passion is definitely something that can�t be stopped as well as true love. Death and deception will always be apart of this world. And that is the original sin.***
