Q. What is the hub you keep mentioning? A. The Hub is a file sharing system that I use for trading and also sharing files with other members. Typically, this means files that are related to all the areas covered by 'All Transformations' - in other words, if you like the themes that are covered by this website then there's no doubt that something in the hub will interest you. Q. Sounds cool! How do I access it? A. You will need a Direct Connect client. This is a special little program that will run on your system, allowing you to access the hub and also to share your files with other members. You can get a Direct Connect client here - Neo Modus website. You will also need a user account and the address to connect to. This information will be given to you upon a successful application to join (see below for info on how). Q. How do I join? A. Simple - make a list of the things you have to share and e-mail it to me at including information about your connection speed and anything in particular that you are looking for (the last bit isn't necessary but feel free to include it if there's anything you're keen to find). If you have loads of stuff to share, I suggest that you list the best things you have - the better the things you have for sharing, the better a chance you stand of being let in. If your list is online, then just supplying me with the URL to it will be fine. :) Q. Why can't everyone join? A. As much as I'd love to make a hub that anyone and everyone can join, numbers are limited for various reasons - mostly due to bandwidth costs. However, the flip side to this is that those who can join have access to good quality stuff and not just a selection of stuff that has been downloaded off of websites. Think of it as a small community of serious collectors and conniseurs. There are other hubs around if you just want to trade anything. Q. What's the minimum share amount? A. Unlike a lot of other DC Hubs, there is no set minimum share. As long as you have something to share of interest, you stand a chance of joining. For this hub, it's quality NOT quantity! Of course, if you have a whole load of stuff you're willing to share then please feel free to do so! :) Q. So what's the community like then? A. Well, I'm trying to build a small community for people who, like myself, have more than a passing interest in the material relating to the themes covered by this website. So, if you've ever seen a giantess clip (for example) and wondered where you could find the entire thing or whatever it belongs to - this is the place to go. If you've ever spent hours searching for something rare and/or obscure - again, this could be the place where you find it. If you find yourself diving into secondhand video stores everytime you see them to find that elusive 'classic', this'll be the place for you. In essence, it's for those people with sufficient time, interest and resources to be able to use and participate in a small community like this.
Q. How do you mean 'participate'? A. By participate, I mean sharing files (obviously) but it could beyond that. For example, if you have TV capture facilities it may mean capping something for a request for another member of the hub who perhaps is in another country. Incidentally, I have TV capping facilities... Or maybe you have a collection of stuff not available elsewhere on the net... Or maybe you have masses of storage space for sharing files. Or maybe you just have some really cool files! In any case, even just the smallest thing can help to make it a highly enjoyable community.
A. Basically, do the same as you would if wanting to join the hub as normal. However, instead of sending me your list of files, you would tell me what you have for trade and want you want to trade it for that I've got. Please make sure to indicate that you're wanting to trade and not join the hub. You will access the hub as normal while making the trade. Of course, you might decide to stay a member of the hub, which should be permissable if you have something to trade.
