| �No!� The shriek surprised them both. Kylee knew she couldn�t and wouldn�t be defeated. She shot back up to her proper height, shocking each for different reasons. Kylee snapped out of her trance first and grabbed the little girl in both hands, squeezing her tight enough to keep her from growing herself. �It seems you lied to me. You very nearly broke me and I won�t forget that.� �We can...uh... make a deal, right? You knew I was just kidding around, didn�t ya?� �Why does every villain only try to deal when they�re losing?� She made the small woman smaller and gave her best Cheshire cat grin. �You didn�t show me any such considerations when the roles were reversed. Now you want to be the great humanitarian?� �You�re one of the good guys. They�re always supposed to do the right thing.� �It�s a cop-out, but right and wrong are very relative.� Kylee tapped her hard enough to knock her out and went to find a phone. �The chip is out of her head and she�s ready to be reduced again,� the boss updated Kylee. �I�ll let you set the size, but are you sure of this?� �She deserves this more than any other prisoner.� When Shannon awoke, she knew by instinct that she was approximately an eighth of an inch. She surveyed her surroundings, an island of white amidst a sea of noise and human activity. The surface was familiar, but she couldn�t figure it out until she saw Kylee�s smirking face and a hand descending upon her. �Oh God no!� she shrieked in a voice no human ear would ever consciously detect. �Bye Shannon,� Kylee whispered as the napkin crumpled just short of killing her. The ball careened to the bottom of the break room�s trash chute and was accompanied by several large items of trash from other diners sliding down the almost frictionless surface before dropping three feet into the holding area.
