What is Reiki?
Reiki is
an ancient art of natural healing, rediscovered in

energy can be defined as “spiritually guided
life force energy”.
The word
Reiki is derived from two Japanese words:
"REI" means “universal, transcendental spirit, mysterious
power, essence”.
"KI" means "Chi" or life force energy, which is the “energetic
building block of life”.
Reiki energy
has several basic effects: It brings deep relaxation, destroys energy
blockages, detoxifies the system, provides new vitality in the form of healing
universal life energy, and increases the vibrational frequency of the body.
Reiki is a
very powerful weapon to keep your natural energy forces highly active and
balanced. This is a scientific art to capture the natural energy forces and
activate them to flow through your body. Reiki is very easy to learn and
practice. Reiki is always beneficial at all places and in all situations.
A Reiki session can
help ease tension and stress and can help support the body to facilitate
healing on all levels - physical, mental, and emotional. We are alive because life force is
flowing through us. Life force flows within the physical body and it also flows
around us in a field of energy called the aura.
A session is pleasant and relaxing and is often utilized for one's
personal wellness and not just for an illness. Reiki is an amazing natural
healing method that almost anyone can quickly learn to do. To benefit from
Reiki you need only be open and willing to receive the energy and to channel
it.
Where does Reiki energy come from? 
Reiki
energy is a subtle energy. It is different than electricity or chemical energy
or other kinds of physical energy. Reiki energy comes from the Higher Power, which exists on a higher
dimension than the physical world we are familiar with. When viewed
clairvoyantly, Reiki energy appears to come down from above and enter the top of the practitioner’s head after
which it flows through the body and out of the hands. It appears to flow this
way because of our perspective. However, the true source of Reiki energy is
within us. This does not mean that we use our personal energy when we do Reiki,
but that the energy is coming from a transcendental part of ourselves that is
connected to an infinite supply of healing energy.
Who can learn to do Reiki?
Reiki is a
very simple technique to learn and is not dependent on one having any prior
experience with healing, meditation or any other kind of training. It has been
successfully learned by over one million people from all walks of life, both
young an old. The reason is it is so easy to learn that it is not taught in the
usual way something is taught. The ability to do Reiki is simply transferred
from the teacher to the student through a process called an “Attunement”
that takes place during a Reiki class. As soon as one receives an
attunement, they have the ability to do Reiki and after that whenever one
places their hands on themselves or on another person with the intention of
doing Reiki, the healing energy will automatically begin flowing.
What is an Attunement?
The
attunements or initiations of traditional Reiki are an integral and essential
part of the Reiki System. This is because the attunements are what makes the
connection to the Reiki energy possible. Reiki is not taught in the way other
healing techniques are taught. It is traditionally transferred to the student
by a Reiki Master/Teacher with an awakened energy system. Through the Transfer
or "Attunement", the principle of resonance causes the recipient to
awaken his energetic body. This process opens the crown, heart, and palm
chakras and creates a special link between the student and the Reiki source.
The Reiki
attunement is a powerful spiritual experience. The attunement energies are
channeled into the student through the Reiki "Master/Teacher." There
have been reports that attunement increases psychic sensitivity.
Can Reiki be sent to others at a distance?
How does this work?
Yes, in
Reiki II, you are given eight Reiki symbols. These symbols are empowered by the
Reiki II attunement. One of these symbols is for distant healing. By using a
picture of the person you would like to send Reiki to or by writing the
person’s name on a piece of paper or simply by thinking of the person and also
activating the distant symbol, you can send Reiki to them no matter where they
are. They could be hundreds of miles away, but it makes no difference. The
Reiki energy will go to them and treat them. You can also send Reiki to crisis
situations or world leaders and the Reiki energy will help them too.
What is house/shop charging? How
does this work?
A house
clearing is a spiritual practice that removes all old, stagnated, or discordant
energy from a home and the land upon which it is situated. This kind of energy
builds up in homes over time. Just by living in a home, energies are brought
in. Periods of frustration, worry, or anger result in bringing this energy into
the home, where it accumulates over time. This occurs more seriously in a home
when there has been conflict, illness, or death. Clearing a home (new or long
lived in) of the energy of those who worked on building it or of the people who
lived there in the past is also very beneficial.
All
material things from houses to clothes, from pendants to cars, as they are made
with energy, they can be charged with the energy that they might have
contacted. If, for instance, in the house where we are living, somebody else
has suffered from troubles of any kind, the walls and the furniture will be
charged with that pain. If our neighbors are quarrelling, or getting drunk, or
are drug addicts, or are beating their children, that same energy may enter
into our apartment or house through the walls, the ceiling or the floor. The clothes
we wore in that particularly painful circumstance, will remind to us that
sensation at any time we put it on; we would feel uneasy, sad, although we
could not know why. Objects are energetic connections with our past but, as to
the theory of synchronic movement, the past does not exist but only several
degrees of conscience. That is why, through the objects, our mind brings us
back, unconsciously, to an old degree of conscience. By means of the Reiki
energy we purify objects and rooms because we switch off the contact with other
degrees of conscience, being them ours or others’. It is always advisable to
surround ourselves only with those things or persons who have a real connection
with our present life.
In short,
charging a house or shop with Reiki energy, clears the negativities and
blockages from the property or object and helps gives you the desired results
from that property or object.
