The Showpuppies, with
blue collar grit, have forged a new and straightforward rock and roll vision
with catchy melodies and harmonies that demand your attention. The strength of
the band lies in its foundation- consisting of Jack Jackson, Tim Turner, Ed
Gainer and John Rutkiewicz.
Jack Jackson, the core writer and lead guitarist, has brought together a
variety of styles to create an eclectic and powerful, new rock and roll
proclamation. Tim Turner and John Rutkiewicz meld their two unique voices into
an exciting mix of subtle harmonies, dynamic melodies, and exciting rhythms.
Tim's rambunctious showmanship and ability to energize a crowd is incredible
and legendary. Ed Gainer and John Rutkiewicz form the bands rhythm section and
create a pulsating and edgy foundation for the bands relentless drive.
The band has collaborated with such industry notables as: Tony Bongiovi;
Producer (Talking Heads, Bon Jovi, Jimi Hendrix), Ben Fowler; Engineer/
Producer (Eric Clapton, Meatloaf, Lynyrd Skynyrd), and John Rollo; Producer/
Engineer (The Kinks). These guys cut their teeth in such celebrated rock haunts
as NYC’s CBGB’s and The Lion’s Den, Boston’s Rathskeller, Baltimore’s
Hammerjack’s , and Philly’s own Trocadero.
