| 4/29/02 This site is launched! Dave Smith is the first person to visit it and gives it good ratings. How good! It has some technical difficultites at first because Tyler doesn't know how to program very well; otherwise, it kicks some major ass 4/30/02 Other people learn of the site's existence and by the end of the day, the site has been visited exactly 100 times (mostly by Tyler). The site gets a guestbook and lots of cool people sign it. Wil Brady sets The Shitty Camping Homepage as his home page. What a cool thing to do, Wil! Everyone can follow Wil and make it their home page, too! In IE, go to "Tools" and then "Internet Option." Type the address of the Shotty Camping page in the box under 'address.' In Netscape go to "View" and then "Preferences." Under 'Navigator/Location' type in the address. Make sure to bookmark it, too (Ctrl + D)!!! 5/1/02 A pictures page is added, with pictures! It's very popular. Too bad Wil can't be as popular as the pictures page. It got hit on 38 times in one day! Wil doesn't get that much action in one year! 5/2/02 The page gets redone at 1:00 in the morning, because it's fucking up. It still is fucking up, but I don't care. Cool animated buttons are added to the page. Please, push my buttons a lot. Push them the right way and they'll eventually link you to cool stuff. Right now, most of them don't work though. The news page that you are now reading is updated today for the first time. Mr. Blowee gets a remake. The site has been visited almost 200 times in four days! That's HOT!!! Of course, Tyler has to visit it everytime he updates it, so that counts for about 75% of the hits, but it's good to know others are discovering its coolness. 5/3/02 The page is working better now. The members page is updated. For now it just includes email addresses. Eventually we can add instant-messaging addresses and email addresses of you and other cool people who like to camp or just like us camping people. If you'd like your picture or any other info with your name on the members page, send it to me. The quotes page gets updated. You can now go there and add quotes or jokes in addition to the ones you add to the guestbook. 5/4/02 Somehow I managed to delete the original copy of the pictures page, so I spent a good chunk of time trying to recreate the original. Now it's even better! No, not really. It needs some additional pictures to make it really cool. 5/6/02 I added a page of non-camping-related pictures to the site. You can get to it through links on this page, the home page, or the pictures page. I'd love more pictures to put on it, but for now it's just a select few. I'll update it someday or switch some of the old pics with new ones. 5/7/02 I didn't do anything with the site today, but I did get an interesting warning from Geocities, the people that host the site. Apparently the site is getting so much traffic and is so hot, we're going over the bandwidth allowed! Click here to read what they had to say. It's no big deal at this point, just try not to download pictures all at one time. Let one finish before starting another one. Thanks! 5/11/02 The page got its 300th visitor today! Sheryl Crow even dropped by the page on Thursday and signed the guestbook. Gosh, this place is world famous and popular! 5/20/02 I finally did some work on the page today! I added Sonya's pictures to the pictures page and got rid of the "new" sign by the guestbook link, since it's really no longer new. Thanks again for the pics Bob and Sonya. 6/6/02 I know I haven't done a thing to the page for a long time...but I will! I promise. I've got some good pics from this past weekend at Ryan's to add and we need to decide when we're going to have our next shitty camping experience!
