I went to the Chevy dealer looking for rubber saddles that would cradle the new radiators tanks. None were big enough, but they fit perfect accross the core. The top and bottom of the alum radiator has a channel facing outwards. I guess i could have cut the strip off facing up, but instead I cut a couple of pieces of 3/4 thick industrial plastic 2" wide to put in the top & bottom so the edges wouldn't cut into the rubber craddles. I made a couple brackets for the bottom rubber saddles and bolted them to the radiator support to support the bottom. |
