They would also bring their livestock to sell in case they don't have enought money along the way. They would also bring the materials they need like food, liquids, etc. Most of them would also bring their families on the trip. Driving |

They would bring every bit of supply the need for the 2,000 mile long trip to California. The trucks would be full of stuff and sometimes the supplies would fall off because of too many things. | Photo #3 www.archives.gov/.../ new_deal_agriculture.html Sometimes the roadtrip would be hard because ocassionally, they would get flat tires or car trouble. With this problem, the whole family had to move the truck or car by hand. They had to push the truck or car until they reached the gas station or some of the repairmen. That was hard for the whole family to do. The families had to suffer through the whole thing. Only the men had to this and the women didn't have to if they didn't want to. Stopped |

| Photo #4 http://www.nychumanities.com/dustbowlpics3.html Sometimes the Okies have to travel away from the duststorms because the duststorm might be happening at that moment. That would create an immense problem if the truck or car was stuck there. They would have to drive very fast to get away from it. If they were to get caught, they might die or get sucked into it.
