| Dave: Im so grateful that I got to spend time with you this summer. Ill always think of you when I watch Deerhunter and that John Cusack/Tim Robbins movie (I meant to ask you the name of that movie)...oh yeah, and that god-awful Christian Slater-kills-everyone movie that isnt Heathers. Thank you for the drum lesson, the free coffee at Cosis, and for being a good friend. I miss you a lot. Love, Jessica ps. Im sorry I never returned your Rollins Band cd. I didnt know Dave personally but I grew up in New England and traveled many miles to many Spring Heeled Jack shows. They were consistently one of my favorite live bands, and I was really looking forward to catching Dave with Avoid One Thing on tour. My condolences to his friends and family- its a great loss to the music community. sincerely, Bryan Cook Seattle, WA Dave Will be missed he was a great person and i pray to god the band keeps on going as strong as they were without this great human being who will be sadly missed. Anonymous Dave Karcich was one of about 15 accomplished musicians I have met in my life, and he was definitely one of the nicest. You could tell he cared about the fans. When I get home today, I am gonna watch the Spring Heeled Jack video. I will not forget Dave. Joe Shindle Lancaster, PA Although I never got to meet Dave I have heard a lot about him and what a great guy hes been, One Friday night I was supposed to go to a Bosstones show with my sister, my sisters friend Laurie (Daves Girlfriend) and Dave. I didnt go because I had to work early Saturday morning, my sister was anxious for me to go and spend time with her and Laurie and to meet this really special guy that I had heard quit a bit about, well, needless to say I didnt go to the show and I missed an opportunity to meet an extraordinary person. Today I wish I had gone. My heart and prayers go out to his friends and family, IM sure ill meet him one day. God Bless, Bobby Sznurkowski I met Dave at the Dropkick Murphys show at the avalon...Joe Gittleman is one of my heros so that was a big part of why I went to that show....and then I saw Dave on drums, and realized he was the drummer for two of my other favorite bands. So i talked to them for a while after the show....Dave was so cool...when Joe couldnt make change and had to charge me extra for my shirt, Dave was like well sign it for you...that was so uneeded...he was such a cool guy, with such a big smile on his face...and an ability to make some of the most beautiful music ive ever heard....he will be missed in the Music Scene...but hell also be missed by those of us who got to just say hi before we had to say goodbye peace to you all and i hope that wherever he is, hes happy. peace, love, unity Justin wow i know how some of you might feel, my grandfather just died a few weeks ago from the same thing, i hope and wish the best for all of you who were closest to him, and just have faith that everything will be all right in the end. i would give you all a hug but seeing how that impossible ill just have my prayers be with you and try to have a nice day :) Ashley Susan Ps. Think of good things, try to be a a strong solder and stay positive! And once again my prayers are with you! Sorry to hear of your tragic loss. Our thoughts and best wishes, go out to all family and friends.
