Charo, a woman of many spectaculat talents, is indeed one of my heroes. I mean why not? This woman can speak Spanish, Japanese... and a little bit of English as she displayed in her acting expiriance on the Love Boat! She also played guitar and sang! I must admit that inly people of whom I am jealous of can be my heroes... which is why she is one of mine. Sexy as she is, I know honest I do, Charo has been married for 14 years and is happily living with her husband and son in Hawaii. I bet this burts a small bubble in your heart... do people have bubbles in their hearts? eh... whatever. Charo is 66 years old...
Here is the explanation for this article. Why?: because it is alovely Sunday afternoon (my Mom suggested I ride my bike... meanie) and what would I rather be doing than this? (everything). The truth: Lana is packing for a road trip, Rachel is in Dublin..., Sam is at his grandparent's house. That's about all my friends right there... every other one of 'em has some sort of social life or lives waaaaaaaaay too far away to hang out with all the time... in places like Concord and Brentwood. But, whatever. There is my reason... if I weren't me I would probably wonder why anyone has time to write about Charo also... but I am me... on with the article!
Charo was never really a actual cast member of the Love Boat (the first Love Boat mind you, not the knock off 90's version 'Love Boat: the new wave' with Robert Urich)
The new Love Boat never had a chance, with only 26 episodes... wanna know why? NO CHARO! That's why! If they had their very own Charo- type character, at least, they could've had a cult following. They could've attracted crazy 15 year old girls like myself! Those who are slightly obsessed with Charo... and what is not to be obsessed about?
Robert Urich
This Captain had the right idea! CHARO!
New Cast... note the lack of Charo...
Old Love Boat cast pictures never included Charo because she was noticed more of as a regular guest star than a regular cast member... why does everybody gotta hate on Charo?
Captain Stubing sure ran one tight ship! He couldn't have done it without Charo!
Charo shakes it up with a little 'Coochie Coochie!' She doesn't need to be in a cast photo... she gets her own.
GO CHARO!
How does the Love Boat spell success? C-H-A-R-O
Part 2: Charo returns... everything besides the love boat!
Although Charo was not on the first 'Love Boat' cruise... I do believe that people probably were expecting some sort of Charo inspired dance spectacle, as the original Love Boat loved to show when they often had her as a 'permanent guest star'. C'mon... what's a party if Charo isn't invited? Let me tell you... Charo, you ever wanna come to a party? Call me!
